Dr Campbell was a GOD send to our family. I was told by a family member to ask for him during a transfer of my 34 year old son to Mission who was in critical condition after a short stay at Haywood. We arrived on the unit only to find out that our son was being coded and was told he was gone. Dr Campbell did stabilize him long enough for our family to say goodbye, in which we dearly needed. Dr Campbell came out after coding Greg on the 5th of January to inform us of the horrible grim situation that would be our last moments with our son. Greg was a kind, loving father and husband and tried to raise his three boys in church and taught them that you should always treat others with a kind heart and that honesty is important in life. I watched Dr Campbell that day as he carefully and gently explained that our son was gone…and what I noticed was the tears on his face as he told us. Dr Campbell didn’t know Greg, his family or their recent struggles in life. He is just a man, a doctor that has seen loss and one that hasn’t become numb and uncaring during this pandemic. If you need a pulmonologist that cares as much about your family member as you do then he is the doctor you want. I just can’t thank you enough for the time you gave us to say goodbye.

Dr.Campbell is very thorough in his care. Great bedside manner, good communicator, I was involved in the development of my treatment plan. My wife and I have great respect for Dr. Campbell . All the staff at Asheville Pulmonary are very caring and responsive.

Dr. Campbell is great! He takes his time with his patients and goes over all tests and scans completely. He found my husbands lung cancer on a Friday, he had us in to the surgeon Monday morning, I'm sure that saved my husbands life!!!

It took over a month to have a new patient appointment. Follow up availability is a month or more. Medical tests/diagnosis was done before consultation with the Dr. Felt I was treated like a statistic, not a human being.
