For patients with money only! This "doctor" doesn't care for those with Medicare...He was my doctor for several years, but when I called to make an appointment after I had no need to see him for a few years, he told me he wasn't accepting new patients who are on Medicare. He misdiagnosed me once, and I nearly died of a Gall Bladder failure...Testing me for parasites etc due to diarrhea, he failed to consider a gall bladder filled with stones, which was causing the diarrhea...it shut down on me and I had to rush to the doctor, who put me in the hospital that day...where they did ultrasound testing and determined the cause of my pain...a gall bladder filled with stones which they removed the following day...In hospital for three full days and it could have been avoided if the doctor had been a bit more competent...

Dr Spivey is an excellent doctor. Have seen him for over 10 years, however, his nurse is the most incompetent nurse i have ever seen. She seems uncaring, rude and dosent seem to know what she is doing at all. After dealing with her for 2 years i have decided to find another doctor. Ashame considering the entire staff is welcoming and pleasant. Too nad for such a wonderful doctor.

I've had Dr. Spivey for about 10 years now. Yes, he's not the warmest individual and he's rather matter of fact... but I find it refreshing. I feel like I'm getting very straight forward answers that aren't influenced by anything beyond my best interest. He's also not easily "convinced" of anything nor is he ready to sign me up for any ole pill. He's a hardworking, well-rounded doctor whom I trust. (And as the majority of our experience and interactions been uninsured on my part - he has offered me discounts where he can.)
