Great office!

The Medical Facility is world class and the nurses take care of you very well.

They have failed me as their patient. Instead of giving me straight answers all I get is a run around and nothing else but a headache!

Kim Cherry, diagnosed 2011. Kim was diagnosed with the bulbar form of ALS and was given one year to live. His symptoms progressed quickly. Soon he was having difficulty breathing, swallowing and even walking short distances. With the help of several holistic medical practitioners and his wife Kay’s research he has been able to reverse most of his symptoms using diet, herbs, supplements and oxygen therapies including direct IV ozone, which he feels has made the most difference. Absolutely, hands down the best hospital there is. Not another hospital I’d ever want to go to. I was airlifted there 6/3/2021 after a motor vehicle accident. 8 broke ribs, 2 fractured, plates on 5 & shoulder surgery ahead. I can honestly say I received the best care I’ve ever received at a hospital. The Trauma team & pain team were great! & Most definitely the nurses on the 7th floor of the Reynolds Tower were the absolute BEST EVER!!! I truly think that they’re God sent!! They made my stay there as pleasant as it possibly could’ve without a doubt!! They treated me exceptional from day 1 when I couldn’t really do anything for myself till day 8 when I could actually get up & walk around. They were exceptionally nice & always quick to help me when needed. I can’t say Thank You enough nurses, trauma team, pain team, physical therapy, occupational therapy & all of Wake Forest Baptist Health!!!

My family and I have grave concerns about the serious lack of care my nephew is receiving at Wake Forest. We have tried diligently to secure just basic care for him at this hospital. We have been met with hostility, untruths and an utter lack of concern. He checked in with a serious problem that was basically ignored. Now--nearly 7 days later—he has been diagnosed with a life-threatening condition. Since the nurse in charge hung up on us when we called from Virginia, two relatives made the drive to discuss in person the care plan (or lack thereof), the apathy of all involved with his care and the possible need to have him transferred to a facility which could meet his critical needs. The doctor spoke with them but asked how they “got past security”. They were not allowed to see our 10-year-old relative nor were they allowed to relieve his mother who has been there around the clock for 7 days straight. The apathetic nurses who currently are not checking on him said they would “watch” him if she went home to shower and rest. After reading Diana Long’s Google review, I see this problem is pervasive and systemic. When professionals in any organization behave in this manner, it is a strong indication that a culture of negligence and unprofessionalism comes from the top. The behavior of the “rank and file” communicates that the hospital administration does not expect nor require more of them; there is no fear of reprimand. Sadly, the lives of the patients hang in the balance and slip not through the crack but fall into the chasm of apathy.
