Our entire family were patients there for 10 years. Recently we had well visits that had been scheduled 6 months in advance, and also needed to have some prescriptions adjusted for one of our children. My wife took the day off work, took all of the children out of school and showed up at the appointment, on time. As it turns out I had just changed jobs, and despite having just enrolled for benefits which were retroactive to my first day, I did not yet have the insurance information (I received this information the following day). Despite the fact that we were long time patients, and that we had continuity of coverage, they would not allow us to keep our appointment. They would not accept signing up for a payment plan, even though they have done so in the past and we had a zero balance for those payments. The only option they offered was to self-pay for the appointments, which would have been $700 per child! To make it worse, when my wife complained and escalated to the office manager, she gas-lit my wife and told her that this was for our own good. And to add icing to the cake, they then notified us that they were charging us $45 no-show fee for each child, even though we DID show but were denied service. That was the last straw. Zero tolerance, zero flexibility, zero compassion, zero respect, means zero loyalty from me. I have moved my entire family to a new practice after ten years. When we complained they showed no remorse, no apology, only said "we stand by our policy." This is not how to do business. If you think you can get away with it just because you are in health care then you are wrong. Good bye WWW.
Me and my 2 babies (ages 2 years and newborn) are patients here. Our family could not ask for a better pediatrician for our family. All of the staff are so knowledgeable while also being highly respectful of parents' questions and unique situations. Our babies have seen Cynthia Young, Jessica Pulling, Ivy Todd, and Maggie Rockers Tyni and they are all wonderful. Jessica in particular is so sweet with our kids, that our daughter asks about her by name all of the time! Would highly recommend this practice.
Western Wake Wellness kicked my family out of their practice because I didn’t put my child on the drug they recommended and I sought a different specialist than the second one they recommended. I DID take her to their first recommended specialist and got zero answers for her health issue. So, when I decided to go to a different specialist of my choice and use a different health protocol that is currently working, they kicked my two children out. I’m a mother of five children, two of which we’ve adopted who have Down syndrome. Also, they accused me to not taking my 8 year old to a well visit when I specifically called to make the visit and they said he couldn’t come in yet because it hadn’t yet been a year in between visits. But they filled out the school paperwork without a visit. I do not recommend this practice. They don’t respect parental choice.

Then, I guess, because he was never sick, I didn't schedule another well visit that year, busy mom thing considering I have five, and they accused me of not making the appointment. Let me just tell you how many specialists, therapists, cardiologists, adoption trauma training visits we attend. A LOT. So, I miss one well visit which was never scheduled and I decline a drug recommendation for a different treatment plan and they kick us out. Unbelievable. I do not recommend this practice at all if you want to have the freedom to make medical decisions for your own child.Western Wake Wellness#westernwakewellness#MedicalChoice#itsallaboutthemoney#doctorswhodontcare#parentalrights
Even though my medical records showed 18 years of high calcium levels and all the classic complications of hyperparathyroidism, including chronic kidney stones and osteopenia, Dr. Young never diagnosed me. If she had, I could have had the tumor removed before all these complications occurred. Thankfully, I recently got a second opinion from an NP who diagnosed me correctly, and I just came out of a successful 15 minute surgery that saved my life. Left untreated for much longer, this condition becomes fatal. My health and quality of life declined each year I was under Dr. Young's care without a proper diagnosis.
Shameful and dishonest! I’d give it a zero - move on to a practice that really cares about parental choice!!
My family and I have been patients of Dr. Young for several years. She and her entire office are nothing less than fantastic! She made sure her office had COVID vaccines available for all of her patients. She ran several clinics to facilitate quick and efficient administration of the vaccines. The only waiting was after the shot to make sure we had no reactions. I’ve been so pleased with her help and advice during this entire pandemic. She always offers solid, scientific, evidence based recommendations and is willing to take the time to explain things in detail and answer any questions you have. She treats the kids like real people and talks to them rather than around them. I can’t say enough how thankful I am to have her directing our medical care.
Dr. Young refused to listen to patient. When patient disagreed with a statement by the provider which contradicts statements by the CDC director, NHS Secretary, Pharma CSOs, FDA approval submissions, and scientific literature published on major medical journals, Dr. Young did not allow any time for clarification or discussion of facts, much less patient needs. Instead, Dr. Young stormed out of the office refusing to conduct the examination or run labs for the long time patient who had taken off work and fasted for this appointment. The doctor immediately discharged patient and denied her access to her medical records, all because of a difference of opinion.
I was a relatively new patient and had seen a nurse practitioner at this practice twice. I called requesting a simple doctors note from my provider. After about a month of back and forth, I called again to check on my note and they said it was waiting for me at the front desk. However I was never advised that it was ready or to pick it up, and I had originally requested it to be emailed to me. At that point I asked to schedule an appointment with my provider and was told that she was no longer with the practice... apparently this had been the case for several months but I had not received a notification of that either. I asked if I needed an appointment with to continue receiving my prescription, and was told that was not necessary. Then randomly a month later they discontinued my medication with no explanation. Not only is the communication poor, but the turnover in the office is frequent and no one seems to be held responsible for any wrongdoings. Needless to say I am in the process of switching providers. I advise whoever is looking for a provider to save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere.
Great family practice! My family has been coming to this practice for years, and even though we moved, we still travel about 30 minutes to keep coming. Dr. Young, Ivy Todd (the PA), and Jessica Pulling (the Pediatric NP) are ALL fabulous providers - very compassionate, sensitive to our needs, and very responsive to our questions and concerns. I once called the on-call provider (Dr. Young) late in the evening when my youngest spiked a high fever, and she was very informative, calming, and caring - and even called back the next morning to check on her. The office staff are all very friendly and helpful, I never have a long wait, and I feel that we get the best medical care. I highly recommend this practice to families and patients of all ages.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
