List of Douglas J. Martini's Reviews
Summer of 2021 I had to stop my pilates classes due to the knee pain. I went to Emerg Orth who gave steriod injections. finally early part of 2022, after an MRi, i was told I needed a knee replacement. I kept postponing. Long story short, I went to see Dr Andersen, who advised me that what I have is a fracture tibia. a knee replacement would shatter my tibia and recommended that I see Dr. Martini. He advised me of the same and told me that I needed to cement the tibia. far foward to 21 months later, I had the procedure done. I am pain free after having the procedure plus the hydraulic acid injections. Hard to believe that another provider was ready to do a knee replacement when the "pain deep in my bone" was being completely ignored. thank you Dr. Martini and Dr. Andersen for saving me from a knee replacement. did I forget to mention that Dr. Martini is a hoot!!
Dr. Martini is the best doctor ever. He explains everything thoroughly, is extremely personable and knowledgeable, and has a great personality.. He has helped me with several problems. I highly recommend him!
I've been going to see Dr. Doug since the mid 90's. He has done surgery on both knees and I have been completely satisfied with his knowledge and surgical skills. He always takes the time to make sure I understand the diagnosis or treatment plan. My primary care doctor kept telling me I had arthritis in my left ankle and to take Tylenol when I needed to ease the pain. Tried this solution for 4 years and finally decided to go see Dr. Doug. He had me take a few steps down the hallway and said I had been walking around with torn tendons in my ankle. We took care of the problem and I am back to doing most anything I want to do. He is the GREATEST !!!!!!!
Dr. Martini is a true professional. He really cares for his patients, knows his stuff, and is extremely personable and easy to talk to.
Dr Martini has preformed surgery on both of my knees and on my left shoulder. His bedside manner is awesome and he actually listens to what you have to say and answers questions for you. I have in the past recommended him to others and I will continue to do so in the future. He’s an awesome Dr and person and I’ve been going to him since 1999! You ROCK Dr Martini!
I had a torn meniscus "repaired " by another surgeon. The knee swelled up and was very painful. The surgeon drew 60 cc 0f fluid off the knee. It was still painful and would buckle up. I almost hit the floor. Another GP told me about Dr. Martini. I went to get a second opinion after surgeon #1 gave up and told me to "live with it. Dr. Martini carefully examined BOTH knees under xray. He suspected the the surgeon had scraped arthritis under my kneecap and irritated the joint. He hit it with a steroid to calm it down. After 2 days the swelling was better and it was almost pain free! I asked him to examine the other knee and he said that knee had a torn miniscus too.! This time the surgery was a success!
Dr Martini was an excellent surgeon for my husband , so I am having him check out my knee problem
Dr martini has been my orthopedist for over twenty years and I couldn’t have been any more lucky. Him and his team have kept me going both running and biking long after most of my piers have had to retire.
My visit was very personable and professional. He made some outstanding recommendations to me and I’m happy that I went to Cary orthopedic.
I have NEVER had a bad experience in the whole time that Dr. Martini has seen me for both hand and hip issues. Impeccable service.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
