I tried calling to see if they were accepting new patients, when I asked the question instead of giving me an answer, she put me on hold. Okay, that's fine maybe she was new and wasn't completely sure. However, I waited so long on hold that I just hung up. Not a great first impression & lost a potential new patient (if they were accepting ones, who knows)

I have been going to Dr. Vandergriff for many years and she is a great doctor. She is tells it like it is and gives you the information that you need to know. She is always friendly and professional and her staff is as well. Highly recommended.

Dr. Elizabeth Vandergriff, and her entire staff are the most professional, caring, and kindest people you will ever meet. Dr. Vandergriff was quick to resolve my issue, and thoughtfully followed up to see how I was doing. When I thought that I potentially had COVID, the nurse practitioner Carolyn Berlin, came out in full hazmat gear, tested me, answered all of my questions, and also followed up to make sure that I was ok. Dr. Vandergriff's entire practice goes above and beyond any other office I've ever visited! If you are looking for a top doctor to see in Cary, look no further!

Not concerned about your time at all. Ask you to arrive early then see you late. When I asked to confirm my appointment time, just to ensure I was not early, I was told I would be called back shortly. This was 6 mins post appointment time, which I had correct. Four other people were called back who came after me, which is fine, they may have a different provider. I was reassured I would be called back shortly. Called back at 7 mins post appointment time. Only to have initial vitals taken, then was not seen by provider until I value my time. If I was late or missed an appointment or strung them along it would be a fee. Please be mindful of your scheduling and do not overbook. I already rescheduled because your office pushed my appointment back 30 mins due to snow that was not prohibiting any one from working. Thankfully I rescheduled for a day I had clear and didn’t keep the pushed back appointment or I would’ve miss all my other appointments that day. This too much. *updated to 3 stars Bc of Nurse Berlin* although she took a long time she has great bedside manner. Listened intently and understood my health needs and goals. The office admins had my address wrong so details may be missed up front.

I have been going to this practice for many years. I would definitely recommend the practice overall, but I have had mixed experiences with Dr. Vandergriff. At times, her bedside manner has been kind and compassionate, but at other times her communication style has felt abrasive to me. On one occasion, I was brought to tears in an appointment when she implied that I was lying (I was not). Overall, I would recommend the practice, but that one experience was unfortunate and somewhat traumatic to me as a patient.

I love Dr. Vandergriff, but the nurses she employs (and other medical staff, as well) can be a challenge. Recently, the office has insisted on two labs a year for med refills. this is not covered by insurance and has never been an issue before. I don't know what to make of this sudden change and the new nurse has not been cooperative...really wondering if I can afford the out of pocket to keep my doctor.

This review is about this practice as a whole, not just Dr. Vandergriff. It's very hard getting them to call you back, get refills, and get lab results. After being left without medication several times for several days at a time on weekends and during a snow storm, I've had to change doctors. I can't even say it's just the staff that's incompetent. I have been in the medical field for a lot of years, and I'm very disappointed in this practice.

Dr. Vandergriff told me, after I said that I had started the Miami Diet, that I would only live another 5 years. She screamed this at me and I left her practice. In the 10+ years since, I have lost 50 #lbs and am very healthy, in great part due to the encouragement of the staff at Western Wake Health Associates. Terrible "bedside manner" in an easily angered person who doesn't know how to deal with the whole person.

There is nothing more frustrating than a doctor that doesn't listen to you when you are telling them you don't feel right. I know my body and I know when something is wrong. Zero resolution. A complete waste of my time and money.

Dr Vandergriff has been my primary Dr for 5 years and has provided excellent patient care AND often there are same-day openings if needed
