Jeremy J. Miles's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Miles was great. However, medical care is only a portion of the experience at a doctor's office. I confirmed with my insurance that Dr. Miles was in network. I confirmed this with the office staff when I checked in. But, when I checked out, instead of paying the $50 that I should've been asked pay for the office visit, I was told that I had to pay $200 because their automated insurance verification came back saying that I had a deductible to meet - but that deductible is only for out of network providers, not in network. When I explained this to the office staff, they said that the automated check didn't make that distinction, so I had to pay the full amount. I asked them to call my insurance to clear the matter up and they said no. I was told, and I quote..."We don't have time to spend 3 hours waiting on the phone to verify your insurance." I was stunned. I paid the $200 in July. My EOB from my insurance shows that $50 is indeed all that I should have been charged AND that my insurance paid $150, too. So the office was paid $350 for a $200 visit, but still hasn't refunded my money. When I asked about a refund, I was told that I have to prove that my care has ended. Let me assure you that it has. I won't be back to an office that isn't willing to verify the accuracy of insurance coverage, grossly overcharges a patient and then won't make a timely refund once they have been paid by insurance.

I expected to be told that I needed surgery. I had suffered from arthritis and trigger finger in both hands for over a year. Dr. Miles suggested we try injections, and they did the trick. No more pain or limited motion. Excellent experience. He took time to listen to my concerns and exceeded my expectations.

Didn't have to go home and google what the doctor was talking about. Shared information in a way that I could understand.

As a Nurse who has witnessed the excellent care provided by Dr. Miles to patients, I choose him as my Orthopedic Specialist after being injured in a MVA. After conservative treatment failed, I needed arthroscopic shoulder surgery. Dr. Miles is one of the most talented and gifted surgeons I’ve ever known with the added bonus of genuine compassion for his patients. There are not enough words to describe this amazing physician that delivers excellent care towards the recovery of his patients. I trust him with my own care and highly recommend Dr. Miles as being the absolute best of the best!!!

Dr Miles carefully considers the entire patient and every aspect that his treatment can effect. He performed the most comprehensive exam I’ve had in years and recommended the appropriate course of treatment after considering and explaining every detail of all options available. He’s truly outstanding and an incredible medical professional.
