Dr Galland is the best orthopedic surgeon I have worked with and have also been very fortunate to be his patient. You may have questions to ask him but without referring to your notes he will have answered them all. A brilliant diagnostician,surgeon and has a great bedside manner. I Highly recommend him and his team.

My husband and I have gone to Dr. Galland for Tennis elbow surgery, shoulder repair, and knee injections even after moving three hours away.... it is well worth the trip and peace of mind knowing you are in good hands. Dr. Galland is very professional and personable.

Dr.Galland performed 3 meniscus surgeries on my knees over 10 years ago. The consultation, surgery, and post-surgery appointments were all great!

Dr. Galland is awesome. He has the best bedside manner of any doctor I’ve ever met. He has treated my knee pain that I’ve dealt with for years, which I barely have an issue with now.

Not a good experience. Dr. Galland was far more interested in impressing his young assistant than communicating with me regarding my orthopedic issue. My visit statement reflected items that did not occur during my visit. Said I was hypertensive but the BP cuff was not used properly by the assistant. Took my records and went elsewhere - and guess what? the surgery his office claimed I needed turned out was not the case.

Dr. Galland has the best bedside manner I've ever seen. He is an expert at what he does. All the knee replacements I have ever seen resulted on the long incision with staples. Mom's incision was so..little and is fading away. Go to the best if you need surgery

While I found Dr Galland to be well versed in his field, using modern techniques...I discovered unusual billing practices, lack of adequate urgent care signage and miscommunications with his staff very unprofessional. When I was directed to his urgent care facilities after office hours..the call center was not aware the urgent care office was not on the first floor...misdirected me...had me waiting in front of a closed express care office for 30 minutes waiting for a PA to call...and eventually advised they did not know where urgent care was. I was later that evening treat at Duke ER for a shoulder injury I had a surgery scheduled for over 6 weeks which was unprofessionally cancelled the day before the surgery was to take place. This is medical abandonment.., and caused a 6 week delay or more in finding another surgeon to do the procedure. Be advised, demanding a credit card be on file for arbitrary and undefined billing at this facility's convenience is not actually required ..I was incorrectly overbilled for a deductable I had already satsfied, it took 3 weeks to get my money credited back on my card. Their practice is to hold any overbilled moneys as "in office credits"....using the patients funds indefinitely or untill the next..if any office visit. This practice is wrongful conversion of funds. I received an email advising my card would be bllled in 7 days. Only the amount was shown, not the dates of service, CPT codes , who was seen or a description of services. When I called to get clarification...the Practice Director was on vacation. Later I received an email from OrthoNC saying my card was canceled by this facility for charges. I much later received a paper bill by USPS mail...showing the normal info. My issue was why they did not put that info in the original emailed notice of charges. This practice of "self pay" or guaranteed card on file is relatively new...and boarders on fraudulent use when charges are not clearly explained prior to making a deduction.

Even after all these years gone by and still under his active care there is not another surgeon I trust more. Heck I even sent my mom and wife to him as well as over 15 other friends over the years. He's up on all the newest stuff and can keep you going if you listen

I have been a patient of Dr. Galland for two full knee replacements and surgery on my elbow. I need a replacement for my shoulder and I would trust no one else. Pre-surgery, recovery, post surgery and into rehab, he has been there, answering all my questions, explaining everything to the detail. I no longer conside him just my doctor but a friend because of the concern he has shown for my well being. His staff treats me with respect and always professionally.
