List of Pasadena Villa Outpatient - Raleigh's Reviews
I was a patient with Pasadena Villa about a year and a half ago, so consider this a “long-term” review. Ha. I have suffered with severe anxiety and recurrent depression most of my life. When I arrived at Pasadena I had just been released from the hospital following a suicide attempt and was forced to take short-term leave from work.Everyday, sessions were varied. No single technique will be effective for all people, so their approach allowed me to find tools individual to me. Among them were included but not limited to: meditation/mindfulness, trauma recovery, distress tolerance, self-love, and my personal favorite, art/music therapy. The group sessions were open-ended as far as discussions were concerned, you were highly encouraged to participate but not forced (some days are harder than others so this was appreciated). Also, there were personal therapy sessions each day, and these helped me come to conclusions of what was working for me.The counselors and therapists were mostly younger, but they were very good— trust me, I was something of an expert at that point. They were kind, committed, and most important, effective in their instruction of the different techniques. It was today I realized just how effective the tools I learned from Pasadena are. I had a series of stressful events happen over the past couple of days that most likely would have triggered a spiral, but after each event, I used techniques I learned to understand what was happening, acknowledge the emotions, and respond with the correct tools I had practiced over the last year and a half. They have slowly started to replace my knee-jerk reactions and old habits.Disclaimer: though very intermittent, I still have bad days, I still have panic attacks, I still have slip ups, and I still have unhealthy reactions to peers and loved ones… the difference is the way I respond to myself afterwards and the confidence I’ve gained with a large amount of healthy reactions to look back on and be proud of.THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART: things can change, and they eventually got better when I found ways to engage with my negative self-talk and life stressors in healthier ways. It took time, but the difference is now night and day. Human beings are dynamic, and they have the ability to learn, grow, and adapt. I was not hopeless, and if you’re struggling, you’re not either. Let me repeat that: there is hope though I know it seems like there isn’t.I’d highly recommend Pasadena if you are looking at multiple options. Thanks again to all of you at Pasadena if you happen to read this. You made a huge difference in my life, and I could not be more grateful that I chose to be your patient. :)
I was suffering with anxiety and depression. To the point that I needed extended leave from work. Pasadena was recommended to me. I went in highly skeptical. But after several weeks of treatment I am a true believer. The sessions I attended and work I did with my personal therapist made a world of difference. I feel like I am back to being my old self. I know that there will continue to be challenges ahead, but I feel much better equipped to face them. I cannot recommend the staff at Pasadena highly enough.
I had a wonderful experience with Pasadena Villa from start to finish. To begin, I spoke with a woman in Tennessee who got me situated with the program in Cary. She was wonderful and when I met with the staff in Cary they were all so welcoming and wonderful as well. The therapists are very knowledgeable and genuinely care about your well-being. The groups are packed with information and they encourage you to speak as much or as little as you'd like! It is a very non-judgmental environment. I have definitely seen improvement with myself in the time I have spent here. I did both PHP and IOP and can say they were both very helpful and it saddens me to leave (but makes me very happy as well).I have reached out to various facilities and Pasadena was the one facility that made me feel heard. I highly recommend them to anyone who is struggling. If you are wanting help but unsure where to start, I'd suggest reaching out and trying Pasadena because you will be treated fairly and genuinely.Of course, I am not "fixed", but my time here has definitely opened my eyes and taught me of many coping skills and ways I can work on myself to become the best version of myself.
Wish I could write something better as many others have, but unfortunately not. I couldn't even start - was asked via their admissions person if I wanted to start Monday with admission at 9am. That email was sent to me Friday morning at 6:30am. I responded saying yes at 9:20am. No response. Texted again at 2:15pm to ask what was involved. No response. Called and emailed multiple times Monday morning. It is now 8:59 am and I don't know where I am supposed to be, what to bring, if there's a link, what's involved with admission, anything when "admission" is supposed to be in 1 minute. I am guessing they are going to charge my insurance anyway. Unbelievably disappointed.
This center was extremely helpful at a time in my life where I really needed help and didn't know where to turn. At Pasadena Villa you learn skills that help in all of life's stressful situations, make life-long friends and connections, and get expert help from an incredibly caring and knowledgeable staff. I encourage anyone who is considering treatment to check out Pasadena Villa- it is a safe place for personal growth and healing.
Was so wonderful and a joy to be a part of. I was very nervous to join at first and didn't talk my first two days, but they didn't pressure me! I felt genuinely welcomed and became happy to talk about my experiences to the group, it was cathartic and made me feel like I was adding to the discussions! The PERFECT place to go if you're super scared to joins groups like this (like I was), they will let you take your time. :) The staff is so sweet and I hope they're all doing well!!
The Intensive Outpatient Program was wonderful, even though I was reluctant to start it last year. The therapists and support staff were wonderful. This was my first experience with group therapy and they made the transition easy. When I completed my program, I had the tools and skills that I needed to handle my anxiety and depression. The Alumni Zoom meetings are a fun way to connect with everyone and share experiences post PV. Keep up the wonderful work.
This program is exceptional and helped me tremendously on my journey to recovery from mental health issues. The staff members are knowledgeable, professional, kind, and compassionate. And they run the classes and program in a positive and uplifting way that helps everyone learn how to manage their mental health with a variety of differing therapies so that one can find therapies that best fit them and work best. They also do well to balance a group but also individual needs. For anyone that is seeking help for mental health, this program all the way from residential to partial hospitalization to outpatient is superb and I recommend it to anyone I know who could benefit from any part of it. It's life changing in the way that it gives one a whole new way to live life to the fullest again. And you won't be disappointed!
I have been to several out patient programs, but had the best results with Pasadena Villa. There are several Therapists that are very good at what they do and make you feel comfortable. They teach skills that everyone should learn, not just those with disabilities. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for help. They have been a great help in my life and they really care.
The group setting seemed intimidating and uncomfortable at first, but it was honestly an amazing experience. The therapists are great, the other patients were also great, and the classes were an awesome mix of fun/creative, difficult but thought provoking/helpful, and generally very informative. Coming here was the best choice I think i ever could have made during a very difficult time in my life. The therapists are phenomenal, and foster a very safe and open atmosphere.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
