There is no substitute for competence. I arrived at the ER with a dislocated shoulder, and in extreme pain. Once the team of physician and PAs came into my room, I was treated swiftly, effectively and with empathy and compassion. It is comforting to know such competence is available when you need it!

Depends on the doctor you get AND especially the way you TREAT the attending physicians. It's very much of a "you get what you give here." And be VERY VERY careful of what you say about your mental health. You can't take it back once it's spoken and what you say can be misconstrued. Dr. Erin was fantastic as was most of the staff. Just realize their job is to treat YOU and the symptoms they witness, no matter what you say after.

So very very thankful for Wake Med of Cary. The providers and nurses are the best my son and I have ever encountered with emergency services. They are caring, efficient, and knowledgeable about assessments and treatment modalities. They literally saved my child’s life 14 weeks ago when he became septic. We drove from Vidant ER after seeking care with their emergency services. At that particular ER we were treated poorly and not urgently for what my son was exhibiting. We drove over an hour that night to Wake Med Cary to receive the proper lifesaving care. They took my son immediately to a room for the symptoms he was exhibiting. Excellent triage assessment with awareness and insight with proper patient care and treatment. My son had another visit yesterday in the ER. We drove the 2 1/2 hours from Charlotte, NC just to get the proper care I knew he would receive. Again, taken right back. My insight into the facilities where my son has received care is based off my experiences and own medical background with treatment of emergencies. We know the time it takes to get to the proper facility and utilize our time effectively for the drive time instead for a sit time in a lobby with ineffective triage and assessments elsewhere. This we have experienced with a 6 hour wait time at Atrium in Charlotte when my son’s symptoms initially began. Thank you Wake Med for your services! We appreciate the excellent care and friendliness of your providers, nurses, security, medical assistants, registration, and business office. COVID has changed some organization’s policies and working environment that hinders care…not at Wake Med Cary. You rise above and beyond not to allow COVID to compromise the quality care you give. You are highly valued and appreciated! Thank you and may God continue to bless you all!!

Amazing staff, very caring and attentive.

Best emergency room I ever been. A warm welcome, immediate attention, a listening ear and actions taken concerning your específic health needs. Extremely friendly, caring and very good listeners. My 9 year old was born at their delivery facilities back in 2011 and had a very good experience as well. Thank you wake med at Cary team.

I took an unexpected fall and needed to be checked out. From the moment we entered the door at WakeMed Cary Hospital ER until we exited it, we were met with kind, compassionate and competent personnel. We couldn't have hoped for better care. My wife and I thank each of you for taking care of our needs during this difficult time.

All of my care takers were VERY good PA Susan, Dr. Lucas and Nathan all took my pain seriously.I can’t praise the Medical staff enough.The only thing I would suggest to improve on would be housekeeping, the floor was very sticky, someone needed to call the janitorial service to mop it.

I was seen on Oct 31st after being referred by Urgent Care with severe abdominal pain, nausea and fever. The doctor and nurse took the absolute best care of me. I felt safe, listened to and skillfully treated. I was diagnosed and able to be treated at home on strong antibiotics. I hope I don't need the ER again but if I do I will return to Wake Med Cary.

Care I received was excellent given the pandemic.Wake County desperately needs more hospitals. Do whatever it takes to ge the NC legislature to the Certificate of Need law and get some more hospital capacity NOW.

Would give zero stars if I could. This place is like the twilight zone. Every nurse has different standards that do not align and practices that make no sense. They kept our daughter in the NICU longer than needed and talked down to us. Will be filing an official complaint , but do yourself a favor and go to another hospital. There are plenty in the area.
