List of Alan Bocko's Reviews
Dr. Boko has been my doctor for many years…and found him after surgery with an orthopedic surgeon was unable to fix a minor foot problem and Dr Boko knew and fixed the issue immediately…. And then glass in my foot.. hobbling after a physician said nothing there.. except he found it and it was infected … he surgically removed it immediately and I avoided hospitalization. As a nurse… for many years my feet have logged in many miles and I still walk well thanks to his diligence knowledge and medical expertise.
Seeing some bad reviews, I figured I would put in my experience. Within 2 years, I had plantar fasciitis surgery after suffering with chronic PF for more than 10 years. when I first went to Dr. bocko, he couldn’t believe I have been getting injections and treatment that long. We did the first one and two years later when the other foot acted up, we did the other. I now can walk barefoot on the beach and wear any shoe. He was knowledgeable, thorough, gave me options, then got it done. I wish I would have come to him years before I did.
I presented with a long time problem. Dr. Bocko knew the exact procedure I needed, and it worked. Much appreciated after seeing another Podiatrist for months.
Dr. Bocko is absolutely the best I've had to help me with foot issues. If you're reading this and you have questions he is willing to address any of your concerns professionally and with patience. I have recommended this office to my friends and family.
As a nurse who has walked many miles with feet that needed help, Dr Boko repaired my aching feet and I will always be grateful for his expertise and experience that gave me back my walking life that I now enjoy instead of endure…..he is truly an exceptional physician.
I call him Dr. Botch Co. He botched a routine “simple surgery” on a family member for achilles tendon repair. My family member was infected with osteomyelitis due to his surgery and and surgical decisions. Dr. Botch Co used a cadaver tendon which increases likelihood for infection, and the tendon dehissed(popped through the sutures)after surgery. My family member had to be reoperated on again by Dr. Botch Co for his original poor work(possibly due to improper suturing technique). The second surgery took 4 hours(way too long) to perform further increasing likelihood for infection despite Dr. Botch co having all of the information needed(imaging etc.). My family member has since had to endure a: 103.9 degree fever, PICC line placement, vancomycin admin through PICC for 3 months, medication induced lupus, lower leg neuropathy, hammer toe and toe amputation since the negligent actions of this doctor. My family member is not overweight and does not smoke or drink and this idiot steered him spiraling into a list of medical problems. He inflicted permanent decreased quality of life(6 years now) due to his ineptitude and slow surgical skills. Avoid him if you value your life and its quality! I don't know how I'd live with myself if I were him.
Awful! Left my dad forever disabled!

Dr. Bocko was not the first foot surgeon I met with about getting one of my feet fixed following a break that had significant collateral damage. His pre-surgical consult inspired a lot of confidence, though, and I have not been disappointed. He's so thorough! He explained everything that would happen and what to expect during the healing process. He's followed up every few weeks, checking progress on bone knitting and giving revised instructions on what I could and couldn't do. He shows me my x-rays and explains what they indicate. He fields all my questions patiently. I am so happy that I got to do this with Dr. Bocko! A genuinely nice guy who's thoroughly invested in providing the very best care possible. His office staff is kind, too. I can't recommend Dr. Bocko highly enough! (And, as an FYI, he used a Duke facility for my outpatient surgery and it was amazing! Probably the nicest surgical staff you could even hope for; everything's clean, and they're super efficient.)

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
