By the time I saw Dr. Daniel Clarke-Pearson, my cancer had advanced. From the moment he examined me and talked with me, I some how knew things would work out well. He did my surgery and I am cancer-free today. I have never met a doctor who is more professional. caring, or comforting. The doctors that work for him as well as nurses and other staff are just as professional and kind. I would never consider seeing anyone else. Yes, folks, he's that good.
From the moment Dr walked into the room, you could feel his compassion and warmth. I will continue to follow up every 6 months and look forward to seeing him again in Greensboro.
I visited this doctor because of my rare type of ovarian cancer and young age. The appointment was first scheduled a week in advance. I drove FIVE hours to the appointment, only to find that they only had bits and pieces of my pathology report, with no attempt to get the rest prior to my appointment. Additionally, they did not have my slides to do their OWN pathology report. But alas, "it wasn't their fault." Luckily, I brought my copy of the pathology report. After a pretty pointless appointment at which this doctor recommended a completely different treatment than my local gyn/onc simply based on the pathology report I brought to him, I was devastated. They assured me the slides were being overnighted so they could begin their pathology. FIVE DAYS LATER, (albeit, over the weekend), they received my slides. Two days later, the NURSE called me with my "diagnosis" -- the same diagnosis as my local gyn/onc. She told me my suggested treatment plan--same as before Dr. Clarke-Pearson had the pathology completed. Assured me that the pathology report was being faxed to my local gyn/onc's office. It has now been 4 days since UNC completed my pathology report. I have not heard from this doctor--not even his resident. My local gyn/onc's office has followed up with them FOUR times. They still have not received my pathology report from UNC. It's Friday, and UNC claimed they "faxed it on Tuesday" and "mailed it on Wednesday" to my gyn/onc. Either way, I'm a terrified patient and no one at this hospital can seem to care about my well-being, much less get anything right. Unfortunately, for me, it's just an additional week of not being able to be proactive about my health.
I was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer and I was referred to Dr Clarke-Pearson. He was very informed about my condition having dealt with two other cases like mine. The care I received was more than I expected, his staff was incredible, accessible, and made me feel I was in good hands. I would recommend him in a heartbeat.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
