Dr. Farber and his team completed a very complex repair and extension of my AAA stent implanted in 2012. 5 hours table time. Was discharged the morning of the second day of the operation. Great care from all the UNC staff and nurses!

Dr. Farber has been following my medical condition for several years. He spends the time necessary to fully explain findings/care and is a caring doctor. I feel confident that issues will be taken care of before becoming a medical emergency.

I suffered for over 6 years with symptons that many specialists in Virginia Beach and Norfolk, Virginia could not diagnose. The head of EVMS told me I had a pulled muscle and needed to see a Chiroprator after losing 40 lbs and not able to eat without severe abdominal pain etc. Moved to NC and was sent to UNC to see Dr. Farber and on the first visit after hearing the symptoms he knew exactly what it was. I had a stent placed for no reason because doctors would not listen to me. They thought I was a crazy 40 year old female. They ignored my symptoms and I almost died. Thanks to Dr. Farber's willingness to listen to me and his expertise I had a rare surgical procedure that changed my life!
