"A good doctor treats the disease; but a great doctor treats the patient who has the disease." I think about this quote often, as I have encountered many good doctors. But whenever I come across one of the greats, I'm eager to leave a review. Dr. Aravapalli is more than great. He is kind hearted, empathetic, communicative, optimistic, thorough, smart and just so, so sweet. His bedside manner is 10/10...which helped my anxiety tremendously before my procedure. My entire family sees him for our GI needs and I couldn't think of anyone better to take care of us.

Dr. Aravapalli looks at the patient as an individual; taking into consideration the patient’s history and current circumstances. He doesn’t just prescribe medication to prescribe medication. He has restored my confidence in doctors. I appreciate him and thank him for his care.

Friendly??, I think not!! Mr. Aravapalli, was so busy? , making oodles of money doing probably unnecessary procedures on people with very ample employer insurance with at best marginable disease, that he stated he had no time or interest in my serious case. I was assigned to an unknowledgeable non-MD. When on my own initiative I was able to get off the drug that a previous doctor had addicted me, to, he responded to my success with the statement "... we won't give you services or treatments", after never issuing no complaints to me in any form. Since MMG-Gastroenterology hadn't provided any services to me and charged over $100 for this non-service, I had planned to drop their service, but knowing my near suicidable depression, he insisted on sending a derogatory message to drive me to that very thing. HA-HA! He failed, and my lawyer will make him pay!! Friendly??, I think not!!

As a colon cancer survivor, moving to a new town, finding a doctor is extremely stressful. I feel very privileged to be under Dr. Aravapalli's care. He is warm and understanding, patient and so very smart. He has learned the part of being a top doctor that is not taught in a book, the part that comes from within... the human touch.
