I know that he is one of the kindest understanding Dr.s I have . I am so thankful to have such a great Rheumatologist and I suggest and recommend him to anyone who is suffering from early onset to late progressive stages of Rheumatoid . He's so caring and understanding.
My mom recently went to see Dr. Laster and had an amazing experience! The the receptionists and nursing staff were all helpful and supportive. Dr. Laster was kind, patient, thorough and knowledgeable. My mom left her appointment feeling educated and equipped to manage her Rheumatoid Arthritis with more than just medication. He also made lifestyle recommendations that included, mindfulness, meditation and yoga. This is what medicine should look like!
Our family couldn't be more pleased with the care we received.
Excellent care and patient physician
I had been to 3 specialists before I found Dr.Laster and the 3 have excellent credentials from the best medical schools and hospitals. I had terrible back pains and muscle spasms. I spent most of my days in bed. Even though they had 2 MRIs on my spine, the only solution they offered was to have a steroid injected into my spine. I did not want anyone inecting into my spine. They also said I had a bad case of arthiritis and Gout. I found Dr. Laster in medical books and on the internet. He had John Hopkins credentials plus a Fellowship with Duke Medical School.I have read bad reviews on him by "Patients" on the Internet, but did not believe them. Lately on the Internet I read unwaranted bad reviews on many things.IE:a Maytag washing machine and Sherwood stereo were rated terrible, but we did not believe them. So we bought both and they are excellent after about 6 months.Must be something in our water?I had my medical records sent to Dr. Laster and on my first visit it was obvious he had studied them. He examined me and concluded I did not have arthiritis, but have Gout, a hemangioma and Spondylosis. Spondylosis is causing my muscle spasms/cramping.He prescribed 2 meds and in about 3 days about 90 % of my pain is gone.Pyhsical therapy should stop most of the rest. When I visit him I always have my list of questions, which he answers very well. He really cares and will take as long as needed to talk with me.He is very knowledgable about medications, where most other MDs have little knowledge in that area. His Nurse is very helpful and also answers my phone calls promptly.I recommend Dr. Laster to all my friends.
it is hard to find someone as compassionate and on point as dr laste
I love this doctor. I've never had a more thorough examination in my life. He seems to really care.
Dr. Laster was probably the best doctor I have ever seen. He took his time, asked several questions, read my records, answered my questions and understood the scope of my problems. He listened and seemed to truly care. He took my records and organized them into pertinent and less important for me and helped me understand previous tests. I feel blessed to have found him.
I just wanted to start the new year by saying how grateful I am for your attentive care. Thank you for reassurance and help with the clarification and understanding of my rare disease.
I was referred to Dr. Laster by my Physician who highly recommended him. I was experiencing very bad pain in my shoulder and Dr. Laster took the time to ask me questions and get a thorough medical history. Dr. Laster injected my shoulder and I was surprised that it was not painful because in the past I found cortisone injections to be painful. He took the time to determine the correct medication for me and after a week my shoulder was pain free. I would recommend him as a Rheumatologist. The office staff and his nurse were also very professional and friendly.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
