Astrid G Jain's Online Review Report Card

Went in with extreme abdominal pain, and I brought up my worries of a UTI or infection. Dr Jain basically brushed my concerns aside, did not examine me whatsoever, and immediately went for suggesting an IUD, saying I could have endometriosis. I scheduled an ultrasound and was unable to tolerate it from the pain, but she still wanted to push through with an even bigger IUD. I scheduled the IUD insertion because it was advertised to me as my only decent option. I ended up cancelling last minute after hearing about multiple other people's bad experiences with Dr. Jain regarding IUDs. After getting a second opinion from another doctor who took the time to examine me, we found that I did have a UTI that developed into an infection. The cause of all of my symptoms could be cleared up with simple antibiotics, but instead I went for months trying to figure out why I was so sick. If Dr. Jain had taken the time to listen to me and do a basic exam and test instead of pushing for an IUD, it could've saved me so much pain and I could be long recovered.

Wait once in the office wrapped up in “gyno outfit” was over 30 min. Dr. Jain seems pleasant but two things I didn’t like on this visit - she left the office saying she’d be back to tell me the results. She never came back. Instead she sent some girl to go over the test results. I think that’s highly unprofessional. That girl wanted to send me home when I knew I was supposed to go through additional testing. Also, Dr. Jain didn’t call my prescription like she said she would. I went to see her because she was the first available female MD but I won’t be back.

I’ve had two appointments with Dr. Jain. Both were positive. She answered all of my husbands and my questions, but the first time we came, we did feel a bit rushed. One grievance we had though was that one of the medications I am taking (prescribed by another doctor) was incorrectly labeled in the system. We discovered this when referred to another specialist We had it corrected. I would still recommend her as a gynecologist. She was gentle, understanding, and professional.

What a waste of time. She made me wait for an hour to be seen and obviously she was having a bad day. She made me feel like my concerns were annoying and she could care less. She was very dismissive like she had better things to do and I will not go back to her again.

I am new to the area so I researched doctors and found Dr. Jain. Dr. Jain received top marks and was on my insurance. I called and made an appt in early July. The earliest appt available was in mid October. 2 weeks prior to said appt I received a call from Dr. Jain's office saying they needed to reschedule the appt because of a scheduling conflict. The earliest I could get in to see Dr. Jain was another 2 months out. So disappointed with the customer service.

Dr. Jain is wonderful, she always listens and takes time to make you feel like you are her only patient of the day. She has been my MD for the last 11 years she delivered my son and then I just kept following her. So glad to have her take such excellent care of me....

She is my favorite GYN and delivered my son. I trust her and actually look forward to seeing her yearly

I have been a patient of Dr. Jain's for the past 5 years. From my first office visit, I felt very well taken care of. She is extremely personable and thorough. She completely explores and explains treatment options. I never feel rushed when visiting her. I truly ENJOY going to her for my OB/GYN appointments....not a statement I could say of any I have formerly had. She is outstanding and I highly recommend her.

I liked her. I had a c-section due to a pre-existing condition, and she was great. I liked all the office staff. Wait time was about what you'd expect (20-25 minutes) in any dr's office. All the questions I threw at her, she answered, and she took the time to explain them. She put me and my husband at ease.

3 separate visits, so regularly gives poor care. Sat on exam table for a very long while most recently. Dr. Jain is always in a huge hurry, never does complete exams, and does not follow through with recommendations and referrals she's promised. She did not communicate US results as promised either. Office failed to file insurance information also. Dr. Jain can fool you with her smiley face and pleasant demeanor, but don't be fooled - she does not care.
