List of Atrium Health Pineville's Reviews
I was admitted to this location on the 9th of September. The entire staff was wonderful. My evening nurse Pearl was above and beyond when it came to answering my questions as I was worried being as I had COVID. Prior to arriving at this location I was at Piedmont Medical Center where the level of care was the complete opposite. You guys saved my life and for that I am grateful! Keep up the great work!
This placed used to be good but now terrible my dad came for blood transfusion yesterday afternoon , they did not feed him once. He called me the next day and told me they still had not fed him then shortly breakfast was brought to him but it was cold and so brought him something this morning he also said that a lady across the hall from him was hungry and wanting food all last night and they kept telling her they'd get back to her like they previously told him. I talked to one of the nurses about the food situation and they didn't seem to have an answer and an inch of care this is ridiculous and as I'm typing this I just now heard someone say they were starving and haven't had anything all night ... these people don't need to be working a job like this if they are not actually here to help. Last they have him hooked to the heart monitor which no one is even monitoring so it is was unplugged to see if anyone would react and of course nothing lol this place is a joke
Got my life saved by some of the most amazing people I have ever met. The staff is exceptional. Never have I met so many outstanding people in one place. Forever thankful to the staff at Atrium Pineville. I am alive because of their excellence and care.
If I could give this place a zero, I would. Worst experience of my life. Medic took me here, even though furthest from my home and had recently been on diversion due to being slammed. Shame on Medic (they also lost my wallet in the middle of the street) I was parked in the waiting room in a wheelchair, in pain and violently ill (sorry folks, but from both ends) in the midst of so so many sick people (no social distancing here!). After begging multiple staff members to help me, I finally got one who got me to triage who then parked me in a bathroom to "clean myself up" (not possible in my condition) and left me there for about 3 hrs. Nurses came by and yelled at me for being in there so long and when I couldn't sit up anymore, having to lay on the floor. I finally begged my brother to come pick me up after 4 hours and being told that because I was in the bathroom, I could have missed my room; which was just nastiness as I was told it would actually be about 5 more hours before I'd get seen. The nurses were nasty because I "made a mess in the bathroom" as well. I was told I was leaving AMA and without my CT (which no one had ever told me was ordered or pending or ever coming) but I didn't care at that point. I'd rather be sick in my own home without those who are supposed to care, being ugly to me. I ended up at Novant Mint Hill the next morning where I received beyond excellent and compassionate care and emergency surgery for a small bowel obstruction. I will never step foot in Atrium Pineville again!!!
If I could give zero stars I would. I came in with an elevated bp of 13582 a temp of 100.5 pain in my gallbladder area complete dehydration malnourished with numbness in my fingers and toes. After sitting 7 hours I told the receptionist that I was about to pass out and they took me back and put me on an IV took some blood work and sent me back to the lobby to sit. I stayed until I physically had no strength left to hold myself up in the chair any longer. So my husband physically carried me to the car because I couldn’t walk. The nurse told me leaving is against medical advice. I told her I need help now and I’ve been waiting 7 hours and her response was everyone here has been waiting that long. I asked can she tell how close I am to getting a room and she replied no. I left this hospital terrified of the state of my health and felt like no one in this hospital cared except the ultrasound technician. I’d rather die at home than be surrounded around nurses and doctors that could care less.
If there was a star category for 00 that is how I would have rated this place. This was the worst emergency room that I have ever gone to. My mother and I had to wait 7 hours in the waiting room just for the nurse to draw blood and then after they seat you back in the waiting room for another 2 hours they finally find a room with a bed for the doctor to meet with you to go over your results. I thought that it was funny when my mom and I were going into the emergency room someone stopped us and said dont go in there because they will not help you. Now I see what he meant. The difference of his experience and ours is that my mom was eventually helped but that didnt happen until 7 hours later and she didnt meet with the doctor until 2 hours after that. AVOID GOING TO THIS PLACE
Id give the E.R a zero if I could. The apocalypse would have been a better experience. Average wait time 813 hours even if you have heart issues and passing out.i watched elderly people begging to be seen after sitting for 8hours. I watched alot of unacceptable behavior by nurses disrespecting patients. The E.R front entrance is Fort Knox with armed guards that act like discount cops on steroids. Very disrespectful to people who are entering and in pain. I would rather die at home then be seen by such an unprofessional group. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. Id feel safer at my dogs Vet then be treated hereGood luck
Really bad service waited at the ER for 8 hours for appendicitis didn’t care a lot of patients almost dying and they didn’t care or pay attention. Very disappointed and that’s why it deserves 1 rating I wish there was 0 starts.
Absolutely terrible 😞 I know that we are back in a really hard position as a nation but this was the closest. I usually go to Waxhaw but I have COVID19 and knew I couldnt be in Waxhaw if I had to stay. I got Triaged shortly after arriving and then in pain for 7 hours and no one ever came to talk to me. Checked on at 515 a.m. released at 320 p.m. Dont get me wrong at all I used to work at this Facility and the staff is not the problem or the Doctors as a matter of fact when I got in the Super Track I had a Dr. Almost immediately told me my results of XRay I did at 6 a.m. and lab work. He ordered more Labs and did CT scan. My Nurse was very attentive and my Radiologist Tech. I cant say enough about the cleaning crew and the Security officers. The Cleaning ladies got me blankets and a Pillow they saw how long I was there and chatted with me from a distance but really cared and took care of me. The Security guards kept checking on me. The patients that went before me that came out and saw I was still waiting in the afternoon were also concerned and wanted to help. I greatly appreciate thr staff and Doctors but there was a HUGE disconnect with the shift change. They knew I had COVID19 and severe chest pain and they made me wait for 7 hours with that hell. Im sorry Pineville please do better.
Stopped here due to an emergency I stated to the doctorsnursed I’m hungry and having dizzy spells due to dehydration and it took for me to have to ask for water for them to give it to me. Staff was friendly but the room where they took care of my medical issue was dirty. The bed I was on had dried spots of blood on it and dried spots of some yellowish substance on the wall nearby. After I left I was still in pain and had to go to a actual doctors office a few days later to get my medical issue resolved properly because they did not do so in the ER

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
