I found him arrogant, dismissive and curt. I would say only go to him if you know something is wrong with your actual eyeball. He's uninterested in your symptoms and vision issues.
I choose to voice this review because 30 min after I left a 2 star review on this doctor it was gone but his ratings had increased to 4.5. How does that happen? Where I come from you must be guilty to destroy the evidence and lie. My complaint was: The doctor’s office left me in an office by myself for 2 hours. This is standard procedure according the other bad reviews. I was recently very ill with a rare autoimmune disease (Behçet’s) with can cause blindness. Leaving a patient alone after such an ordeal is NOT okay! I was a family therapist for 28 years and would NEVER do this to a patient. You get one star now. Change your practices!
We had a great experience with Dr. Kramer. Our son needed new eye glasses and an updated evaluation for his prescription. Dr. Kramer was professional, friendly, and showed great care during the evaluation. Our son can see clearly now, and he loves his new glasses. Thanks!
Dr. Ben Kramer is very thorough, friendly and professional. I was a bit anxious because my 10 month old had to get a clogged eye duct procedure and Dr. Kramer put my mind at ease with his knowledge. He took the time to answer all of our questions and he also called us himself to follow up after the procedure. I was able to schedule an appointment fairly quickly even though it was the end of the year. The staff was also friendly, knowledge and helpful. I couldn't be happier!

Dr Kramer and his entire staff were amazing. We seen Dr Kramer for my 9 month olds blocked tear duct. The interactions with my daughter and the explanations to me about the blocked tear duct and surgery were awesome. I completely trust in Dr Kramer and would recommend him to all my friends and family!
I am very pleased with the experience I had at Horizon Eye Care. The staff was very courteous and professional from the time I made the appointment to the time I checked out. We were seen on time, which is very appreciated when you have an anxious toddler with you awaiting in the lobby! We saw Dr. Kramer and I highly recommend him! He was great with my 2 year old son and helped him feel very comfortable throughout his very first eye exam. He was very professional and took the time to answered all my questions. I feel as my son is in great hands and for that I am confident that Dr. Kramer will be our eye doctor for years!
Great experience all around. Receptionst was very accommodating over the phone, staff was great with my rambunctious 2 year old and Dr Kramer provided excellent care to our 1 month old and advice to us. Thoughtful, thorough and professional.
This entire office gives a very poor first impression! When we walked into the main office area, I noticed a LOT of elderly people sitting in the waiting room. (Obviously overbooked.) We were then directed to the pediatric entrance for my 13 year old daughter who was there for an eye exam, and to get contacts. When we walked through the door, it looked like a tornado had just come through. There were a lot of magazines, books, news papers, children's directories, spread out all over the floor - in the small children's play area. One little girls actually fell when she was running to the play area and slipped on a magazine. I cleaned up the mess, and straightened the play area - which appeared to have been neglected for quite some time. There was only one lady working at the front desk, and no one in the eye glasses section. The doctor had ZERO personality! My daughter's eyesight is pretty bad, and when I asked him what her vision was he said "I don't know. I would guess 20/400. Then I asked him if he would measure her pupilary distance because even though we were there for contacts, I wanted to order her a backup pair of glasses. He replied '"They do that in the optical shop". According to eye glass manufacturers, it's supposed to be part of your prescription. We were basically sent on our way, and told that if my daughter wanted to be fitted for contacts that it would be another hour (we had been there already for about 1 1/2 hours.) We didn't have another hour, so we left. The doctor told us that "they" could fill the contact order based on the prescription. Well, we went elsewhere, and they couldn't, so now we have to make another appointment. I had to ask for the prescription when we left because the lazy and unfriendly lady at the desk (who couldn't pick up the mess on the floor in the waiting room), was obviously on her home planet when we left. She also told us that in order to find out the PD, we would have to pay another $40 copay! This place is a RIPOFF! Do not go here. They take too long to see patients, overbook, and come across as incompetent!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
