I broke my ankle and was searching for a reputable facility. I have a number of friends and colleagues who told me to call Orthocarolina. I was told by nearly all of them that they are the best. I called and was assigned to Dr Cohen. He was very thorough with explanations and listened to all questions and concerns. Overall it was a great experience and I will refer everyone to Orthocarolina for foot and ankle issues.

I have been absolutely delighted by the care and attention provided by Dr. Cohen and the staff at OrthoCarolina. From my initial visit, through my ankle replacement and subsequent follow up I have been treated with kindness and personal attention at every step. I am SO GLAD I made an appointment with Dr. Cohen. His bedside manner is terrific! He listened well, took his time, and it was obvious that he was interested in seeing that I understood everything about my toe. I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone who needs his type of expertise.

Dr. Irwin did my first surgery for a minor tendon tear. I was given poor post surgery instruction. Dr. Cohen did my second surgery for a more extensive tendon repair. He too gave poor post surgery instructions. My foot became deformed and I am a gimp. He stated I needed reconstructive surgery, but I wouldn't dare let him do it. I went elsewhere and have had two surgeries with poor results. I am about to have a 5th surgery. I have been in a cam walker or a cast for the past 4.5 years all because of these two doctors. My left hip has gone bad now and I need a replacement.

In my opinion, Dr. Cohen has an incredible reputation with both doctors and patients for his surgical skill and knowledge. In addition to his skill and years of surgical experience, he is exceptional with patient communication and care. I never once felt confused about any aspect of my severe bunion procedure or what to expect and when. He is confident and encouraging which makes for a great surgical experience and outcome. Even though he’s very busy, he makes time for putting patients first.
