Excellent care. Dr. Stevenson has my best interest. I will continue to make my appointments with her.
DONT GO HERE! They wont help you anyway. If I could give a 0 star review, I would. I had an appt for my son back in August and just received a message stating that the provide he was booked with no longer work there and they just cancelled the appt (which was 4 months out from when I booked it). I called and they said they wont take us now and they can't suggest anywhere else to go. We are left high and dry. If I would have known this, I could have found an alternative, which isn't easy by the way. Good luck if you try this place.
Professional and easy to work with all around. Trips to the office are easy, and I can always get help. Dr Roy is a pro.
After reading the other reviews, it appears to simply be a crapshoot on the overall experience. Based on reviews elsewhere, I specifically requested to meet with the PA, Alyssa Sullins for my initial appointment and found the lead-up to my long-awaited appointment to be great - one person keeping in contact with me & making sure I had all the forms I needed to fill out and answer any questions. In person, I've found the staff to be wonderful, kind & efficient. Alyssa herself is amazing as well - she is extremely attentive, kind, and I felt truly heard after being dismissed by my primary care physician. ***I did find the "communicate via online portal/YourHealthFile" process PARTICULARLY frustrating and panic-inducing in the beginning when I struggled with finding the med she prescribed in stock at a nearby pharmacy. I got really frustrated by the fact that I couldn't just pick up the phone and call someone and I had no idea when someone might answer my msg on YourHealthFile. After that was sorted & got my medication worked out, all subsequent appointments and communication have gone smoothly.
Awful customer service. They NEVER answer the phone. Need to submit refills via health file and those go unanswered as well. There has to be a better a better at to communicate with patients. It took me going up there to get an answer
Worst experience of my life. Dr. Perry Roy was unprofessional, confrontational and antagonist. The absolute WORST doctor I have ever come in contact with. In between his hostile questioning of my history (which I spent hours filling out comprehensive forms ahead of time) he egotistically droned on about how he had published numerous papers, what Europe does for ADHD, etc. As for Carolina Attention Specialists, I cannot have any respect for a practice that employs this type of egomaniac. If I could give zero stars I would
It's impossible to call and talk with someone. Nobody answers the phone. And leaving messages is a waste of time since no one ever returns the call. And their practice of making you pay an estimated cost upfront means you're always either over or under paying and getting additional bills for small amounts or refund checks. Wreaks havoc on record keeping and getting reimbursed by your insurance company. Doctors are nice so it's a shame.
They don't return phone calls. They never answer the phone. They don't take most insurance plans. I only gave two stars because the nurse practitioner I was seeing is super nice. My doctor was not the nicest. They will make you take a drug test every three months when you see them. If you think they are going to get your prescription right guess again. Revolving door on staff.
I first inquired in mid Oct 2022 and did get a reply but was not ready to move forward at the time. However, for the last 3 WEEKS I've been trying to get an apt and left 4-5 voicemails and 4 emails durrig that time! When I FINALLY heard back (a week after a frank and frustrated voicemail) This person refers back to her reply from Oct.... ?? I will not be making an appointment.
We started going to Dr. Brugman 4 years ago. He is wonderful! Always very informative and patient. Recently my daughter saw Dr. Brugman for the first time. He talked directly to her on her level so she could understand the results of the tests and what she may have experienced prior to seeing him. He also uses examples from his own life which we find to be very helpful. I highly recommend him!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
