Dr. Jones remarkably reconstructed my left foot and ankle that allowed me to hike a 10 miler in the Rockies last week with my 16 year old son! Have had both arthritic feet/toes fixed by Dr Jones. He is straight and to the point. Excellent.

Ankle pain… x-rays, exam, injection and relief!!

Went to Mallard Creek Tuesday at 8:00 left at 2:00 on Tuesday it is now Sunday I am walking around on my heel in the special sandal almost pain-free mr. Carol done an excellent job I would recommend him to anyone pretty much rebuilt all my toes except for my big one which he had to fuse it was almost on a 90 degree angle

In December of 2020, I went in for surgery to repair ligaments and tendons on my ankle. While in surgery, Dr. Jones and team made the decision to also cut my Achilles' tendon in order to lengthen it. This was done without my prior knowledge. After 12 months of continued therapy and consistent pain which has effected my day to day activities, I was asked to obtain another MRI to determine what may be the issue. This was done on Dec. 17, 2021. After repeated attempts to speak with the doctor and being told that he wanted to discuss the results with me, it is now January 20th and I have yet to receive a phone call or appointment to discuss the next steps. This is after multiple attempts by me and according to his service, attempts by them to relay that I have contacted them. I am disappointed and frustrated at this point and lacking faith in the ability of OrthoCarolina to meet my medical needs. I simply ask for a response so I can make necessary arrangements for my health care and to be able to enjoy the day to day activities which I once did.Currently, I am in more pain and worse shape than before my surgery.

In December, 2018 Dr Jones was supposed to perform a bunionectomy and remove the bump in my first toe. After I was under anesthesia, Dr Jones recommended to my husband that he break and reset all the toes on that foot. My husband agreed feeling the doctor knows best. WRONG!! The change in procedure, without my consent, changed my initial recovery from 3 weeks to 8 weeks, resulted in significantly more stitches and instead of being able to heel walk after 3 days, I was non-weight bearing for 8 weeks! Now, 3 years later, the bunion is back, my toes are once again curled and my big toe is once again crossing over the first toe. All this despite always wearing supportive shoes with no heel and a wide toe box. STEER CLEAR!! Do not trust your feet to this doctor.

Dr. Jones saved my quality of life by giving me a second surgery after another doctor did not fix the problem. He has an excellent bedside manner and made every effort to help me prior to suggesting a second surgery. His care and attentiveness helped me with a much quicker recovery time and got me back on my feet. I can now walk around the block without immense pain and I am able to jog and hop which I was unable to do after my first surgery [by another doctor]

Dr Jones has been wonderful to work with. I came from TN for surgery. Dr Jones is knowledgeable and talented … and he is willing to take the time to explain treatment snd options. He performed a revised Achilles’ tendon surgery and as a result, I can finally walk without pain again. Thanks Dr Jones for your care!
