List of Charlotte Surgery Center - Museum Campus's Reviews
They waste no time in taking me back to get me ready for surgery.
I had nasal surgery and there was a mixup a couple times in the morning so I was a bit unhappy to say the least, but they definitely made it right with a couple gift cards (definitely didn’t need to do that) for the mixup. Overall, they turned the experience into a 5 star experience! Thank you all so very much for taking care of me!
The American health care system is whack. I had to pay the surgeon, the surgery center, the anesthesiologist and I signed a release that if they had to leave dissolving sutures in the surgical site, I've have to pay them too. But that's my editorial and none of it is Charlotte Surgery Center's fault. Today, we're reviewing the Charlotte Surgery Center Museum Campus.Lots of communication from them (not as much from the surgeon) with pre-op instructions, post-op instructions, screening questions, scheduling, payments, and confirmations. My wife and I arrived for our 5:15 am at 4:55 am (the Lyft ride was early) and they don't open the doors until 5:00 am. A brief wait outside before the initial gatekeeper brought us inside. A comfortable waiting area with wifi and free coffee and some paid vending machines. No eating or drinking for me, but I got my wife a cup of coffee while she hung out waiting for me.I saw a LOT of people today to justify the estimated $13,000 bill for today's procedure. I was called over to the registration nurse who discussed payment (hooray for insurance!). Screening nurse who brought me back to the pre-op waiting area. Prep nurse who got me my gown, warm blankets and set the IV. Anesthesiologist nurse. The anesthesiologist herself. The operating room nurse. The surgeon who marked the spot where the excision was taking place and confirmed it with me (no easy mistakes to be made today!). All of this took about two hours before I was finally wheeled back into the operating room. The anesthesiologist stuck some Versed into the IV and I didn't even get to count backwards from ten. I saw her put the drugs into the IV and then I woke up in the recovery room. Perfect! I don't like the mushy part in the middle and these drugs were like a "skip" button on the DVR of my brain. I do not remember a darned thing! And if you're worried about me, please don't. This was minor outpatient surgery that took a half hour. I'm already home and writing Yelp reviews with sufficient pain killers and post-operative instructions. I'm perfectly okay![Review 18565 overall - 3340 in North Carolina - 2087 of 2022.]
The 4 stars are for the medical staff why should they have to suffer for the billing department personal. I had to pay $600 on day of surgery, then set up a payment plan for the rest. After surgery was completed and claim filed, I had met all my deductibles and services would be paid 100% , which the surgical center was paid in full and I owed nothing. Well, to my surprise My checking account was debited for the payment plan amount at check in. BUT wait you were paid in full . Called billing department and asked why did you take my money out of my account when you were paid in full. The rep said “ you authorize us to take the money “ No you just didn’t say that . Yes I did authorize you to take money, but my balance with you is ZERO !!!! I contacted my insurance company and told them my story …they told me not to worry you’ll get all your money back or there are huge consequences, and they don’t want that to happen. So when I passed this little bit of information to the rep, he ever so kindly canceled my payment plan so they would not take money from me anymore.. well that’s good of you I owe you NOTHING !! I’m letting my insurance company deal with getting my money refunded, I know they will get it for me. PLEASE be vigilant when it comes to your billing with this center, I was surprised that I’m not the only one who had billing issues.
This facility is extremely well organized and professionally run. Each member of the staff was friendly, accommodating and efficient. They make you feel calm and comfortable leading up to your procedure and do everything in their power to put your mind at ease. Everyone on this team was phenomenal. You feel like you are in the best of hands at this surgery center. Thank you for making this procedure a little less stressful for me.
I cannot say enough good things about this surgery center!!! I would rate it a 20 out of 10! Every single person was so kind and patient, from check in to every nurse, anesthesiologist, doctor and discharge. My 5 year old son had to have his tonsils and Adenoids removed! He was very nervous and they reassured him and us that everything would be okay. He brought his Spider-Man as his comfort item. They went above and beyond to include him in everything, giving him a blood pressure cuff, a hair net, etc. This made my son feel at ease. ALL the nurses and care team members were AMAZING! My son had a hard time coming out from anesthesia and the post op team let us stay as long as needed, they did NOT rush us at all. They helped get us multiple popsicles, bottles of water, a rocker, anything we needed! I had multiple questions before coming and everyone on the phone answered any questions I had and helped me immensely to be prepared! If you have to have surgery please choose here! You will not regret your choice.
Any one who has given this place a bad review is just mad that they had to pay more money then they expected. They need to take that up with their insurance company. My experience was top notch. Everyone that took care of me during my surgery were compassionate and very professional. Don’t let these bad reviews scare you because this is a 5 star place all day long.
I had surgery and want to commend the staff. They were extremely professional and friendly. I checked in, was processed, prepped, surgery performed, in recovery and out in a very reasonable amount of time. The care and attention was outstanding. I received a follow up call the next day and again the person I spoke with was great. I highly recommend this center and if the need arises in the future, I will request it. Shoutout to Gwen, Kelsey, Chip, Jennifer, Amber, and Carrie. There were others whose names I didn’t get and I wish I was able to as they were great as well. The anesthesiologist took the time to explain everything to me and I really appreciated it. Dr. Bergsman and his staff were outstanding and I highly recommend his services.
I delayed my outpatient procedure for 6 months to try a different facility because Novant was so grotesquely focused on money and not on me. I wanted to go to a health care facility, not someplace in the health care BUSINESS. Well. Let me tell you Charlotte Surgery Museum puts the CARE back in health care. I sure got what I had wanted and more than I had hoped for. When I spoke with the surgical nurse two days before my procedure she promised me the best experience possible and they delivered. From the moment they checked me in and my nurse started my IV with no more pain than having blood drawn (I know; I’m still astonished) to the magnificent attitude of my CRNA and anesthesiologist, everything was as good and caring as could be imagined. Like being on an episode of “Scrubs” where you’re the only patient in existence. The clinic manager came back to check on me TWICE for heaven’s sake. Who does that? I love everyone there that I encounter. I’m so grateful to them for my care. For being true health care providers. They’re just good people and great at their jobs. Those six months I waited? TOTALLY WOTH IT.
I checked the address to ensure my review is for the 2825 Randolph Road facility because the low ratings make no sense to me. My experience at Charlotte Surgery Museum was incredible. If the medical industry makes you feel like a dollar sign and not a patient, this clinic will change your mind. Everyone we encountered was a health care provider, from the lovely Jasmine who checked me in to the clinic manager who checked on me (and when I say checked I mean stayed with me, asked after me, held my hand) in pre-op AND in post-op. I felt like I was the only patient on the premises and I really knew that wasn't t the case. The surgical staff were both professional and human - oh, and funny - and I could tell they genuinely cared about me and my well-being. My husband even said he thought I must have known some of them from my doctor's office but I said no, only my doctor. :) The rest were just that cool. Special shout-outs to Diana, who started an IV with no more pain than having blood drawn (I am still in awe), and Dr. Halway, my remarkable anesthesiologist, whose company in pre-op was charming and informative. But if you were on my surgical team, know that I appreciated each of you. I might have forgotten your names because Dr. Halway managed to make me forget ever getting to and leaving the OR. :)Love these people. Use this clinic if you want to be cared for like a real person. By real people.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
