Dr. Jennifer Helton's Online Review Report Card

My 13year old daughter has bad eczema and suffered for months. Dr Jennifer Helton took the time to check all areas and also to talk to my daughter. She prescribed creams, shampoo etc and sure enough - less than four weeks later my daughter showed zero eczema (just lighter skin for a couple more months) and enjoys life with perfect skin since then (almost a year later). For a basic check over, she will do. Anything she points out as suspicious I would have a definite second opinion. Side note, her posture is poor as if she is trying to hide behind her chart. Kind of unsettling.

Very Happy with the Doctors. Office Manager NOT at ALL!!! Been there several times and was Happy on how I was treated by the Doctors. Susan the Office Manager has NO Customer Service Skills. Can't return phone calls or even answer the phone when you call. We had a billing issue and was told by Susan after several phone calls that it had been taking care of and we owed no money. 6 months later, receive a phone call from a collection agency saying we owed $165.00 Dollars. After some investigating, I realize it's for the same visit that we were told was Paid In Full. After weeks of trying to get a hold of Susan with no success. Even when I was told she was in the office but could never answer the call and NO return calls after a dozen or so messages left on her voicemail. I ended up giving them a credit card just so I could get the collection agency to stop calling. No one in the office could help me (other than taking my credit card) it had to be Susan that I had to talk to, to clear up the incorrect billing. But Again she wouldn't take my calls or return them! I did find out by one of the office staff, that they did receive a check from my insurance company for the $165.00 but they couldn't find where it had been deposited. My guess they lost it??? I was told that I would need to talk to my insurance company to be reimbursed. Total Crap. Why would I need to take time out of my day for their mistake. I guess they Won because I paid them and don't feel like dealing with the insurance company for reimbursement. Guess that one is on me. Thanks Steel Creek Dermatology for making me feel like a deadbeat! It will be the Last Time I assure you that. Oh and I will make sure Everyone I know, knows how how you Treat your Customers!!! My Suggestion is FIRE your INCOMPETENT, RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL Office Manger! She is Costing you more than you possibly know.

Called as a new client to schedule an appointment. They didn’t care to offer any alternatives or work with me. You would have better luck going someplace else. This doctor is way overbooked.

I was referred to Dr. Helton when she was at the Matthews location and she is the most thorough Dermatologist that I've ever seen! When she moved to her new location in Charlotte, I followed her there too. She has a wonderful personality and I would definitely recommend her to anyone who needs a Dermatologist.
