I had an appointment with Nurse Jeremy Brick, which went fine at first. However, I was unable to fill my prescription due to an expired ID, so I canceled my follow-up until I could address the issue. The nurse then took back my prescriptions after stating that I had a dependency--an unprofessional move, as a medical professional should recognize the potential for withdrawal symptoms before doing so. Later, I received a call asking if I wanted to reschedule, but when I attempted to, I was told, 'It would be in my best interest to find another provider.' This experience felt both medically unprofessional and unnecessarily petty.

I have been seeing Dr. Pelucio for a few years. Before him, I was tossed around Charlotte and got various diagnoses such as angry, bipolar and personality disorder. As an African-American woman those "professionals" were not listening to me. I was referred to Dr. Pelucio and I have been very pleased with his professionalism. He diagnosed me with severe depression and anxiety disorder. The reasons he gave made sense and it clicked. My depression and anxiety show up through me as anger and self isolation. He also worked with me for MONTHS to find the correct medications that help me function. This is not at all permanent. With consistent communication and visits, my medication has changed or some have even been eliminated. Working with Dr. Pelucio has given me the strength to accept my illness and with therapy I am constantly learning how to cope with what life throws at me. Of course I have setbacks, I get depressed, I stress out over things, and my anxiety can rise, but I know what situations cause those reactions. I would definitely recommend seeing Dr. Pelucio if your mental health is hindering you from enjoying life. I have not had another psychiatrist ever take the time to understand me, my difficulties in life, the stress of my experiences, my battles fought, and my victories won. He is an amazing doctor and the staff at this facility have always been professional, respectful, and timely with contacting me.

Unresponsive staff. The practice has delivered the absolute worst patient service my family has ever experienced.

Ok... this is a lot, but think my experience will help the next person in my position. when i walked in the door, Dr. Pelucio tells me he thinks I have a personality disorder. This is about 2 mins after meeting him for the first time. This is the worst experience I've had with a Psychiatrist. IF YOU ARE STRUGGLING WITH MENTAL HEALTH, I'm begging you DO NOT see Dr. Pelucio. My journey with Eastover Psych began on December 18, 2021. For some context, I have been struggling greatly with mental health for 4 years now. I have finally found a phenomenal therapist who has helped me immensely. After careful consideration, my therapist recommends Dr. Pelucio. At this point on December 18, I call Eastover Psych in Charlotte, NC and am told I can get in with Dr. Pelucio in 2 hours if I can fill my forms out in 20 mins or less. I get my forms completed in about 10 mins and call back and Devon at the front desk says "I never said that, the earliest appointment for Dr. Pelucio is Jan 17" ... in my head i'm like what a bummer but no worries. Devon said to call back daily for an appointment to open up. That exactly what I did, since December 18, I called once to twice a day expressing how much I was struggling and how if anyone could let Dr. Pelucio I've been calling for a month straight Id greatly appreciate it. I have called 69 times in the course of a month, just trying to get help. On Jan 17, due to the snow in Charlotte, NC, my appointment was cancelled (which is 100 percent reasonable, you can't control the weather) At this point it's over a month of struggling greatly and the people in the office don't seem to care at all. At this point I am told the EARLIEST Dr. Pelucio can fit me in is Feb 8. Fast forward to today.... I've been waiting for this appointment for months and I have never experienced someone so rude and seems to not care about the situation. The reason for this message is because if you are really struggling with mental health please stay as far away from EASTOVER PSYCH AND ESP DR. PELUCIO. In my opinion, he is not qualified to be a psychiatrist. The last thing I'll say is, during our conversation he tells me "the reason my body is shaking is because i'm not able to talk" He said " since i wasn't in control of the conversation, my body can't handle it". Really messed up situation. please stay away. This is not a man you want for a psychiatrist, on top of this he on the board of directors for the practice. You know it's a bad situation when the wrong person gets promoted, and that is exactly what has happened here.
