Heidi Weilbach's Online Review Report Card

Performed Diverticulitis surgery on me in 2020. Although she is obviously a very intelligent surgeon her manner of explanation and communication with the patient and loved ones leaves much to be desired. She tends to use many complex medical terms, without explanation. Also a bit confrontational when discussing details and when some specifics are asked. I hate to post negative reviews on anyone, especially someone in healthcare but she needs to remember that her Responses to an already difficult situation need to be handled with more care.

Absolutely horrifying experience with this doctor. She operated on me to remove my gallbladder when I clearly had other more severe issues with my liver. I nearly died within days of that surgery - because she ignored the very obvious condition and caused my liver to decompose radically. She should have paused and recommended a GI specialist review my condition. Additionally, she is cold and has the worst bedside manner I've ever encountered. Run, don't walk to the team at CMC Main.

She did 2 emergency surgeries on my dad and did an excellent job. She and her partners are very caring and compassionate. I wouldn't go to anyone else.

Best surgeon ever..just that plain and simple

Would absolutely tell ANYONE who wants the best ALL around surgeon in Mecklenburg County and surrounding areas...this is definitely the person you are looking for!!

So, back in 2013, I was rushed to CMC University with what everyone thought at the time was lymphoma that had started in my spleen So, of course, my spleen had go be removed and I just happened to get Dr. Weilbach as my surgeon and she was absolutely the best surgeon I've had before that particular surgery and the many surgeries I've Had since then. I just recently had a hernia surgery done and called Surgical Specialist and they told me that she no longer did regular surgeries, but only trauma surgeries and I was totally bummed out and very hesitate about going t anyone else. So, with all that bring said, she alwat went above and beyond for me. I could call her anytime day or night and she would always call me back and I loved that she was always up on the new medical issues with things that weren't even within her speciality.

Dr. Weilbach performed my robotic gall bladder surgery. She was wonderful. Attentive and explained the surgery fully so I knew what to expect.

Dr. Weibach helped me through trauma surgery, as I obtained an unexpected bacterial infection that could have taken my arm, let alone my life. She was fabulous in explaining all aspects of what I went through, and what to expect. She was available when needed, and her sense of humor brought me great comfort.

I was bleeding internally,from a bad colonoscopy,had she not performed the emergency procedure that she did,I would have bled to death internally.Now I have a hernia at the top of my initial incision and Dr Weilbach is the only surgeon that I care to have check out or do this procedure.

Although there was a quite a wait on the day of my husband's appointment, Dr. Weilbach noted and apologized for it immediately - then skipped additional chit-chat and moved quickly to address the reason for our visit. We thought that was great. She was INCREDIBLY informative and gave us good detail on what to expect with course of treatment A vs. course of treatment B so that we would understand all the factors and possible next steps. We did have some discomfort with the professionalism of the front office staff, who complained loudly about being tired and made some almost mocking type comments as she brought us to the treatment room. Very unsettling - we asked her to be more formal with us which made her very uncomfortable. We sure were happy to see the Doc when she arrived! Thanks Dr. W!
