List of Hugh M. Lovejoy's Reviews
Terrible doctor and misdiagnosed me.
My boyfriend went to Dr. Lovejoy for his tonsils and the visit started out with Lovejoy quickly looking at his tonsils and assured him nothing was wrong. After my boyfriend asked a few more questions just out of wonderment and the fact that he’s paying him, Lovejoy literally kicked him out of his office. He took him outside the room they were in and pointed him to front without answering any of his questions. The visit lasted 5 minutes tops. Don’t waste your time, he is not a caring doctor in any respect.
DR. Lovejoy is awesome. He listens and gives plenty of time for the appointment. He is very knowledgeable and I feel he knows how to treat my issue.
I have been going to Dr. Lovejoy for many years and I highly recommend him to anyone. He’s a very caring doctor.
These folks are always friendly and attentive. Dr. Lovejoy is through and enjoys getting to know his patients and explains in detail your exam results. Every visit has been a very pleasant experience.
I am very pleased with the service that I received on today! Very kind, friendly, pleasant and very knowledgeable!! I certainly will refer Dr. Lovejoy, MD to my family and friends!!!
Excellent job of listening to my concerns and creating a comprehensive plan. He also explained what was happening as he worked on my ear. He is an excellent doctor with a great “bedside manner!”
Unpleasant experience.
I saw him about a year ago, and it was just like others described. I went to him a year ago complaining about the fullness and possibly an object stuck in my ear. The first visit he just barely looked in my ear, said he didn’t see anything, said it could be allergies, gave me a nasal spray sample and rushed me out. After I finished the nasal spray (which didn’t fix the problem), I went back to beg him to take a closer look because I would be unemployed soon due to Covid and would no longer have my job’s insurance. He admittedly is a really nice and fun personality, but he seemed to be annoyed that I was back. He quickly glanced in my ear again, suggested a surgical procedure that he said “probably wouldn’t work anyway” even if he did it. Started talking about his children for the rest of the visit and didn’t offer up any other assistance before rushing me out again. I’ve pretty much been living with my ear like this all this time trying to ignore it. But Here I am a year later, dizzy, nauseous, severe migraines, the whole left side of my face feels sore right now. Whatever it was a year ago, has literally gotten so much worse where I can’t even manage anymore. I was just online looking for a new doctor that I’m willing to pay out of pocket for Anything that would help because I am not currently insured. I came across Dr. Lovejoy again while searching. Which made me write this review. I’m probably just going to give in and go to the ER soon. I’ve been trying to avoid the high hospital bill.
Dr. Lovejoy is the best! My daughter and I both love his playful and kind demeanor. The other office staff are also helpful in every way. We have been working with him for 6 years due to my daughter needing a few sets of ear tubes. She is now 10 and he recently removed what we believe will be her last set. He did a final check today and it was so sad leaving. We (of course) hope she doesn’t need any other services, but will miss our checkups with him. If you are looking for a kid friendly doctor or just someone who really listens to your needs, look no further.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
