I went my sister to have hemorroidectomy with Dr Kasten. She was very nervous and chose the surgery as a last resort after trying to manage for eight months. She asked what she would get for pain and he said that it didn’t matter because nothing will help with the pain. It visibly upset her minutes before surgery . How hard would it have been for him to show some compassion? Terrible bedside manner. I hope no one else has to suffer this man’s lack of empathy.

Dr. Kasten preformed robotic surgery and removed part of colon and made sure I understood the process and I feel so much better and it wasn’t invasive and I feel that he was easy to talk to and understood my issues. He explained so I could understood what could have happened. I felt from time I met him that I was in good hands. I have about another month for recouping but I’m a very happy patient.

Dr. Kasten is a wonderful doctor and surgeon I would recommend him to anyone! My boyfriend had a total colectomy performed by him in October. He does a great job of laying everything out so the patient knows exactly what to expect and great at calming fears. He has a confidence about himself which is great every surgeon should be as confident in their ability as he is. Has a great sense of humor as well

Dr. Kasten is a fantastic dr.. and I would recommend him to everyone. He has a terrific bedside manner and is very caring. He listens to you, and is also a lot of fun to talk to. He takes time with his patients and doesn't make you feel you are wasting his time. Gotta love the guy. He is great.
