Dr Shiffern, while inserting a feeding tube in my father, severed an artery and said nothing. He crashed while in recovery and had to be resuscitated. She has never apologized. What was suppose to be a 10 day hospital stay became a 40 day stay and nearly 7 months of constant infections. All because of her extreme incompetence. Hospitals won’t tell patients and families when doctors show gross negligence and incompetence. It is up to the families left to alert others as loudly and often as possible. Beware of this doctor. Insist the hospital tell you who is doing the general surgeries and make certain you tell them that Dr. Lynette M. Shiffern is NOT to have any contact with your loved one.

Dr Shiffern severed an artery while inserting a feeding tube in my father. She said nothing and sent him to recovery where he crashed and had to be resuscitated. He had to have emergency surgery to fine the artery and stop the bleeding. Had it not been for Dr. Brickman who saved his life by resuscitating him, my dad would be dead. He spent 40 days in the hospital due to this woman’s extreme incompetence. He has had multiple infections and several hospitalizations since his surgery- all due to her severing his artery. She should not be practicing.
