List of Matthew A. Borns's Reviews
Do not have orthotics done from the practice. I would not accept the orthotics because they were so cheaply done and overpriced for the poor quality. The casting person was being trained to do casting that casted me on 6/9. The office did not look up or call my insurance for orthotics coverage and charged me the full price. They expected a down payment at the time of casting. After I contacted my insurance company, they advised me that my insurance would cover orthotics at 80% and I would owe 20%. I have contacted the office manager, Lena Wells, numerous times for months to submit my orthotics insurance claim for 6/9/22 correctly and she has not filed the claim or called my insurance company representatives back. My insurance company has contacted her about submitting the claim correctly with out success. I regret that I selected this office for my foot issues.
Dr. Borns was very professional, attentive, & I could tell that he was genuinely invested in my treatment. He answered any concerns I had & went above and beyond to provide exceptional service. It also made my visit more pleasurable that he’s pretty easy on the eyes…I’ll definitely be booking all of my further appointments at this location.
Did not give enough information or show me what an orthotic would look like. They do not help my situation at all. Took 3 times to send back for adjustments. Would not buy them again. Definitely not worth the money. Any good foot store would do better and hundreds of dollars cheaper. Very disappointed.
Very nice. Showed genuine concern.
Dr. Matthew Borns was very professional and thorough in alleviating my issue with a terrible fungus on my big toenail (right foot). He explained the options, and indicated that removing the toenail would be the best remedy. Dr. Borns removed the toenail on my very first visit to Ryan Foot and Ankle Clinic. He also provided instructions on how to properly tend to the toe and foot after the infected toenail was removed. I was very pleased with the service received, from the reception area and other personnel encountered (pleasant and professional!) January, 2020
I went with my dad here back in June and the customer service was exceptional! Everyone from the front office staff to the Dr himself were so nice!
From the front desk to checkout I was extremely well treated. From Carla and Steve to the doctor I knew that I was receiving all of the time I needed. Dr Borns was took extra care in explaining everything as well as treatment alternatives that enabled me to make a decision that works for ME. Did I mention the great water fountain? Regards, Scott Carter
My visit to Dr. Matthew Borns'office top-notch. The staff did everything with a smile, extremely professional and courteous. Dr. Borns performed a procedure to remove an in-grown toenail that had been a problem for nearly a year! The 15 minute procedure was performed during my initial visit..Dr. Borns feared possible infection which would have caused me to lose my toe. No problems post procedure, 2 week follow-up great. I am pain free, big toe better than ever!! Thanks Doc! Highly recommend!!!!!
I had been dealing with bunion pain for several years and finally decided in November 2017 to have it corrected. My consultation appointment was scheduled with Dr. Borns and I couldn't be happier. During the consultation, I had x-rays taken and had a conversation with Dr. Borns about why I wanted to have a bunionectomy and why it was the right time for me. After reviewing my x-rays, Dr. Borns and I discussed my options, which even included not having surgery. I ultimately decided that I wanted to have the surgery and he explained to me what he thought would be the best procedure for a great outcome. He made it really easy for me to understand a complicated procedure by showing me pictures of the foot and where he would make cuts in the bone, etc. I want to note that I never felt pressured in any way to jump into surgery. Dr. Borns made it very clear to me to me that bunion surgery is painful and recovery is difficult. He wanted me to carefully consider the options before making the decision. I had my surgery in December 2017 and I could not be happier with the result. Before I went back into surgery, Dr. Borns and I went through again exactly what he was going to do to make sure we were both on the same page. I had a few post-op appointments where Dr. Borns carefully replaced my dressing, removed stitches, cleansed the foot, and redressed the wound. I was a bit nervous about the stitch removal but Dr. Borns was so careful with me that I really didn't feel anything at all. It is now April 2018 Dr. Borns was right - the recovery is difficult. You have to learn how to let others take care of you, how to sit still, and how to give your body time to heal itself. However, the pain was nowhere near as bad as I had expected. To top it off, I no longer feel the pain that I had suffered for so many years and my scar is barely noticeable. My foot is feeling better each day and I'm starting to be able to do some of the things that I haven't been able to do in a long time (long walks, light jogs, etc). Aside from Dr. Borns being a great doctor who treated me with care, he's a genuinely pleasant and nice person. He was more than willing to answer any questions that I had and called me the day after surgery to see how I was doing. I appreciated that very much. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Borns!
No waiting, friendly staff, interested in solving my foot problem and by following protocol I am walking well again after 4 weeks. Very pleased!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
