List of Novant Health's Reviews
The only reason Im giving the two stars is because of the awesome patient coordinator who has answered the phone the last two times Ive called. I had an appointment on 1014. I was told to email my new patient paperwork back prior to this date. I did but was told to do it again before my appointment started because no one could find it. Okay. Sounds simple. I waited for 30 minutes to speak to the doctor and I felt very good about the actual appointment itself. He prescribed me 2 months of an appetite suppressant and made a few changes to my diet which I was told would be on my after visit summary. I asked when that would be available and was told it was up to the techs and may take up to 24 hours. Two weeks later I have neither an after visit summary or my medications. I called last Thursday and was told a nurse would call me back. This didnt happen until 4 hours later after the doctor had left. I was told he could get everything done when he was back in the office so I waited until yesterday. I was transferred to the nurses line and left a message. No call back. Today I call again because this is just ridiculous. Even if I couldnt get the medicineI still wanted the exercise and diet info from the summary. Turns out that I didnt have it because he didnt do it. After so many phone calls why would it not be done? I even explained that because I was working from home and the meds tear up my stomach in the first few days. Im on rotation and would like to get that out of the way throughout the weekend and the beginning part of my last week at home until the next rotation. I waited for a call from the nurse.....nothing. I have never had an issue like this with a facility my primary care physician has referred me to. Im hoping this is the last because Alpha Medical Weight Loss is looking really good at this point. Im not even going for surgery. I opted not to go that route so how much work is this really?
Everything was going really good until my nutritionist appointment they called me while I was on the video visit waiting for the doctor to join to tell me they need to collect a payment. I told them hold so I can transfer money and they disconnected. I called back and they took forever for someone to pick up the phone and when they did they transferred me to the front desk and then of course no one at the front desk answered it went to the voicemail. And I logged in online saw the link to pay and paid it and rejoined the video visit and the doc came on and said it’s too late to start the appointment The appointment was 1 hour long and it was only 10 minutes after the the appointment and they should’ve called before my appointment to ask for a payment not my appointment time. And had to reschedule me and the next available is December Way too far because I need to have 2 visits. I really needed to have surgery in December because daily will be here to help with the kids. But my question is if I am suppose to go out of country to get it done and I come back with all the information would the bariatric Doctors at this location see me if I have a bariatric problem?
I started working with Dr. Kolasch a couple of years ago. However life was dealt to me. Fast forward to 2019 I met with Dr. Kolasch again. We had a heart to heart and the journey began. I was scheduled to have the surgery then Covid19 came. Novant worked with after restrictions were lifted then I got the call. Surgery was scheduled. I received phone calls and messages all during the process. I got a message from my nurse to congratulate me because she was on vacation and missed me getting approved. Dr. Kolasch is WONDERFUL. He is honest and straightforward with you about everything. I can go on and on about him. Thank you for all of your support and guidance. May 19 2021 was the start of my new journey.
I have a week calling and calling and the person who is supposed to have my case never answer my calls and don’t give me a call back I have a week trying to make an appointment and it’s being impossible and I have a bone surgery so I need to lost weight ASAP terrible customer service
I had the VGS sleeve done on May 10 2021 And I have had some minor Complications with my body. I understand that everybody heals differently. But I have to say HATS OFF and GREAT JOB to Dr.V and his staff Ms. Jody Dr. Timothy Leonard and Nurse Kelli They care about their Their patients got a chance to witness and experience it firsthand today those four are awesome people If I had to choose and do it all over again I will choose Dr.V and Dr. Timothy Leonard and nurse Kelli and Ms. Jody all over again Im so glad that God has these people in place for people like me Keep up the good work
Ive had a great experience with NH Bariatric Solutions. Yes most generally you have to wait 6 months to a year. This is a lifechanging surgery people you dont want to rush in and insurance companies have strict guidelines. You get out of the process what you put into it...no pain no gain so to speak. And yes some things like some uncovered services can be pricey but the staff are very upfront with any costs and are willing to work with most reasonable requests.Overall I have lost 55 lbs in 3 months. Very little pain in the beginning mostly discomfort. I am currently on a regular diet. No longer on BP meds BMI down 10 points and sleeping like a baby.I would reccomend NH Bariatric Solutions to anyone who wants to make a healthy change.
My experience was horrible the customer service is terrible Ive been having so many complications and waiting for a hour to not be seen by the doctor. They do not value the patients time. Ive called the office manager Chris Bolo and she hasnt returned my phone calls. I went to the office today to be seen and they told me she was there only to find out she wasnt there but on the way the communication needs work. Dr. Kolash is a great doctor but because of the customer service I will not be back to see him.
It is obvious to me that most of the complaints regarding wait times are from patients who are unfamiliar with the process required by their insurance companies. Some people have to wait an entire year before the surgery if not more. For the woman who had a PCP send you for weight loss solutions because you wanted to prepare for your wedding your frustration should be at your PCP. In my opinion the seriousness and life altering path of WLS is no place to be because you want to be wedding ready. That is already an indicator of an issue in my opinion. This journey is about your health. It is a process. It requires patience endurance and persistence. It is not a quick fix it doesn’t happen overnight. You must do your part and trust the process. It took me a good six months just to have my paperwork submitted for approval and there were staff changes in the midst but I wanted to be healthy so I kept pushing. Here I stand two years out. Maintaining my loss and life change. Start with your mind and the rest follows. Dr. Kolasch is THE BEST His bedside manner is unmatched. He was informative and empowered me with knowledge and the freedom to be honest and ask the real questions that I may not ask in a public forum. He helped me overcome fears with his thorough explanation of what I would experience. I would send my mother to Dr. Kolasch. That is the best endorsement I can give
He did a great job..from day1 his staff keep in the KNOW and 4 months i am now recoverying from the sleeve. I am very thankful and if i had to do a again i would chose him and his staff..

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
