Lazy staff, filthy place. I wouldn’t leave a dog here!!!
Mother in law spent 15 of 18 days in bed. Very little therapy. Very poor communication with family. Had to move her to an assisted living situation. It’s been almost a month and she is slowly rebounding from a lack of attention at Peak. She has more energy and her heel sore is starting to heal.
My mom was admitted there on oct 10th.. but on the 16th she passed away… they called me at 1 am to inform me that she had passed away.. but they didn’t not call me to tell me that she had been having trouble breathing.. they didn’t even take her to the hospital when things got out of hand.. and now I feel like I’m responsible for her death because I was the one who made the call to send her there… THANK YOU PEAK RESOURCES FOR MAKING ME FEEL RESPONSIBLE FOR MY MOMS DEATH
My father was transferred to Peak Resources-Charlotte on 6/1/2021 around 5pm. My father had Lumbar back surgery 5/28/2021.I arrived at your facility at 1:41pm today as my father was getting ready for occupational therapy. Towards the end of the therapy- his therapist mentioned his eagerness to go home and advised him to be patient with the process. My father then mentioned he just wanted to be treated with fairness and as a decent human being during his stay at this facility. He proceeds to say that he does not want to have to sit in his own fetus and urine for 6hrs again. This was my first-time hearing this and at this time, I chimed in and asked…Is this true? He stayed YES!Pam Damron-Rehab Manager/Speech Therapist also in the room began to apologize for the mishap. I then began to question Pam about the staff on duty during this time and she gave me the name of nurse Marsha Darden whom my father stated came in around 9pm and he told her that he had used the bathroom on himself. She responded that she would be back to only never return and proceed to clock-out at 11pm as her shift had ended. The night nurse who was a white male (I was unable to get his name) came in and changed my father at 1am and around 5:45am. My father stated he had/had serval bowel movements and urination between the times and had notified staff but was only changed the two times mentioned. He stated serval ppl were in and out of his room but, no one was changing him, and he had to lay in his own discomfort and humiliation until his male staff finally decided to change him.Following this information, the director of nursing Ian Fraser came in and spoke with us concerning this matter at 2:53pm. I then asked Ian to confirm the names of the staff who were assisting my father during this time.Ian asked what/why I needed to learn the name of the staff members who let my father sit in his own fetus and urine for??? AND it’s simple ACCOUNTABILITY! I want these people to be held responsible for not following policy as your website states and I quote, “Our attentive staff will make you or your loved one feel at home in a comfortable and relaxing environment, no matter how long the stay.”Was there not some rules or protocols broken here? My father was humiliated and felt ashamed and uncomfortable! Who sleeps in their own urine and fetus all night?Ian stated that he was doing an investigation of the matter however, if it was anything like the conversation he had with me, I am sure it will be short, brief and disregardedI am very displeased with the service that has been provided from this facility up to this point and I would like to know the updates on how this investigation turned out.
I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone they just let the people lat their my mom been there a yr and she has loss 100 lbs she complains about the food she wasn't changed for 12hrs then tonight they came to change her after 6hrs and lift her leg and blood all over her pillow and the nurse going say blood thinners is why she bleeding but if they changed her every 2 hrs like they suppose to they would of known it's was a sore her arm is black and blue with knots then when I was calling they kept picking up the phone hanging up when I finally get someone they in the back ground laughing like it's funny while I'm explaining what's going on state board and channel nine will her about this since I can't get in touch with anyone inwith authority from corporate or the nursing home and then it's always a excuse why stuff happen
PEAK of Charlotte is an unexpected gem. Walking into the quiet and serene building you are greeted with lovely well appointed sitting rooms halls and patient rooms. The facility like the wonderfully caring professionals who work there is on pointe. It is sleek and perfectly appointed for Short and Long term Rehab. The therapy department is skilled and has a high success rate discharging patients to their highest level of function.
Worst place ever! People dont care nothing about the residents, they are just there to draw a paycheck They are under-staffed They are in business just for the monies. I wouldnt recommend this place to nobody! Very insensitive people that work here. I hope one of them dont end up in a nursing home one day, whoa to them. You get back how you treat and do unto others that cant help themselves! God see all. Remember that.
I could write a book about this place. Horrible is all I'll say right now. NEVER send your loved one here. I've met nurses that have quit this place weeks later based on the treatment of my loved ones there. Management is disrespectful and unprofessional. Lead care givers suggest death over life and my loved one lived through two more Christmas's. My loved one stayed there one month. As I said.. If you have a soul.... Do NOT send Anyone you care about to this train wreck.Mr owner of peak, this all happend 2 years ago, dont know how you came up with several.. If the director and head nurse still work there.. Or ombudsman hasnt talked to you yet. That's just a shame..I see the name if the facility been changed, on google maps that is..
yes we are the best we have respect for our residents and love them as our own family just stop by and see for your self we have great nurses and great CNAs and our building is supper nice and very clean we will love your family and take care of them as our own
I wanted to share our experience with Peak Resources. I would absolutely stay away from here. It is no wonder they have a 1.8 and really don't deserve that. My grandmother was here twice. The first time was not as bad as the second. She only went back because she was willing to give them a second chance. Most of the employees do not care about the patient just my opinion. Now they do have just a couple of good employees who went above and beyond for my grandmother. She went in there due to a broken femur bone. While in there she developed a UTI and supposedly congestive heart failure. They gave her two different antibodies which didn't help. She was talking crazy and seeing things that weren't there. Not once did they suggest her going to the hospital or provide her with antibodies thru an IV. Long story short they sent her home on Friday after giving her a laxative. Once arriving she was dead wait couldn't help us do anything and we had to carry her to the bed. By Saturday Morning she was back in ER with high levels on infection in her body, still the UTI and now phenomena. Not to mention all they feed her was chicken and rice every meal and Tea to drink. The cupcakes were so hard you could drop them on the ground and hear it. you would also think the fact we were there every day checking on her and asking question would have made a difference, but nope. Please just beware, they are on the preferred list of the hospital but I would think twice before placing your love one there. Don't be fooled with how beautiful the center is.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
