Dr. Bowen is a very capable, compassionate, competent provider. He looks at the patient as a whole and is focused on maintaining health rather than medicating symptoms. His new practice at Tryon Medical is back to what they were as MMG.

Dr Bowen took such great care of my Mom. He is thorough, asks a lot of questions and then actually listens. He is a problem solver and wants to find the root of the issue. Practices both Western and Holistic so you get the best of both!

I had been to so many doctors and was out of work for 3 months and had been misdiagnosed by previous doctors. Thank God Dr. Bowen took the time to look at all of my medical history and he figured out what was wrong with me. Blessed to call him my doctor. He has made a tremendous positive impact on my life, thank you Dr. Bowen!

I have been seeing Dr. Bowen as my internist for several years. I have referred him to my Dad, my Step-Mom, my daughter, and her husband. He not only accurately diagnosed what was going on with my Dad (Lymphoma, B12 deficiency, anemia), but he also referred him as appropriate to a top notch Oncologist for continued care for the Lymphoma. He ordered a treatment regime that managed the disease a family member had. He is more consistently on time than any other physician I have seen, he works hard to get to the bottom of any concerns and diagnose correctly, then treats or refers as needed. Everyone I have referred him to really likes him and thanks me for referring them to him. He is a great physician, and an awesome person!

Dr. Bowen has been my primary care physician for over 7 years. I highly recommend him. He takes the time to listen to his patients about their concerns and to discuss treatment options. He also has a great bedside manner. Most importantly, Dr. Bowen is highly competent and knowledgeable. I have full confidence in his diagnostic and treating skills. I have referred many people to Dr. Bowen, including family members, and I would not hesitate to refer others to him.

Dr. Bowen has been my doctor for over five years. He's the BEST doctor that I have ever seen. He takes the time to LISTENS and respond to questions that I ask.

I have been a patient of Dr. Bowen for over 4 years. He is great! Smart, courteous, great bedside manner, he has it all. I have referred several people to him over the years and they all love him! I'm shocked at the reviews that have negative comments because I see Dr. Bowen for an annual physical and as need for acute medical issues and I have always been pleased with him and his service. And he shakes my hand immediately upon walking into the room. Great bedside manner!

Dr Bowen is a con artist. The past 2 times I have visited, I actually looked at my yellow check out sheet after I got home and I was shocked. My first visit I saw him for less than 5 minutes for a dislocated coccyx. He charged me for a Level 4 visit which is supposed to be a visit of at least 45 minutes. He substantiated it with 5 different diagnosis codes ranging from stomach pain, to migraine, to neck pain. My second visit I saw him again for 10 minutes for shoulder pain and he charged me for a Level 4 visit. This time substantiated by 6 different diagnosis codes ranging from headache, to neck pain, to vitamin deficiency (an issue diagnosed by another physician, not Bowen). This guy leads you on with questions like "has that heartburn pain stopped" or "are you still having migraines" and even if you answer "yep, everythings fine with that", he still adds that diagnosis code to your bill. I am NEVER going back to this guy and I urge others to check your bill before leaving the office. He's not really even a decent doctor...orders every test under the sun just to cover up the fact that he can't make a decent diagnosis to save his soul. He's also a germaphobe...God help you if you come in there when you're actually sick. He stands across the room from you, refuses to shake your hand, and acts like he wishes he could examine you with someone elses hands! Great doc....ha!

this doctor and his staff are incompetant. He made an appointment for a bone scan and neither he nor his staff ever sent the work order authorization to the hospital for them to do the work. On the day of the scheduled scan after 2 phone calls by the hospital radialogy staff and 2 hours of waiting they still did not send the paperwork needed. This appt had been made a week in advance and the paperwork should have already been transmitted to the hospital. The radiology staff at the hospital can not legally perform any tests or scans without that paperwork authorizing them to do so. This is not the first time this has occurred with this office.
