Robert Brownlee's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Brownlee has been the primary physician for my 87 year old father in law for several years. He is very attentive, patient, and caring as well as delivering excellent medical care to him! I have been present on several of the visits and would highly recommend him.

I have been going to Dr. Brownlee since he came to Charlotte. I am 73 years old and have a variety of problems. Dr. Brownlee has been one of the best doctors I have had as a primary physician. He listens always and is willing to hear what you think about your health issues and what has helped . He does not question you researching your health issues and believes that you are a part of finding the answers. I have had some unusual and hard to identify health problems and had problems taking many prescriptions and he looks at the whole picture and what is best for you in all situations. I have had a lot of good doctors but I consider him one of the best.....he cares!

Dr. Brownlee is the consummate caring, concerned, and capable physician. He listens carefully and is discerning in his recommendations for follow-up care. Clearly, some health issues cannot be changed; but Dr. Brownlee does his best to alleviate symptoms and to minimize discomfort. He has been a godsend in helping with the management of my husband's Parkinson's disease and seems genuinely concerned with his overall well-being. Count us among his staunch supporters, of which there are many!

Dr. Brownlee has always provided the best care for me and my husband. I feel like he has taken his time to get to know us and makes us feel comfortable. He never rushes through and takes time to answer questions. The office staff is also friendly and quick!

I saw Dr Brownlee twice for treatment of debilitating back pain. The pain was so excruciating I would empty my bladder on myself before my care giver and I could make it to the bathroom. It would take me fifteen (15) minutes to get out of the bed. Earlier imaging ruled out surgery so Dr. Brownlee’s treatment plan was for me to take one (1) tramadol in the morning and another in the evening. When asked what to do if this treatment continued not work, he told me to go to the ER. The next evening I was transported to the ER and the doctor there also agreed there was no surgical remedy and questioned why Dr Brownlee would recommend I come there for treatment. I am 94 years old and I felt Dr Brownlee did not want to treat a woman my age. Fortunately a nurse in the ER had the wisdom to make arrangements for me to receive physical therapy and another doctor saw to it I received proper pain meds.

I've seen Dr. Brownlee twice, each time for my annual physical.  He is very efficient, and seems to ask all the right questions.  I've shown up on time and he's seen me on time.  That's another plus.  The only negative is the length of time (calendar and phone) that it took me to get a billing issue straightened out.  If some of the large medical clinics spent their money on hiring qualified people instead of spending it on marketing and "feel good" initiatives, they would get a lot more done.
