Sam B Wu's Online Review Report Card

Just moved to Gilroy found Dr. Wu through my insurance, so far no problems with Dr. Wu but my review is for Jasmine she works the front desk, not sure what her position is. I just want to say she is phenomenal, she shows that she cares and is extremely helpful she always makes sure we get the referrals and approvals we need on time. You don't get that kind of service anymore so I just wanted to praise her!

I got a very bad impression today when I visited the office for the first time. I am sure the doctor has no idea how terrible staff he has in the front desk. I was treated very rudely when I first stepped in the office. I Entered the office and greeted. The receptionist instead asked me to step outside rudely, I was kind of shocked but I did, she went outside to take my temperature when she could’ve done it inside being myself the only person in the lobby, I also heard her answering the phone and putting the caller on hold because she was chatting with another two girls that work in the office in Spanish about personal stuff, I speak Spanish and I understood. Very unprofessional, it gave me a very bad impression, I had to walk away, I canceled my visit, I’m sure he is a great doctor, he just has really bad staff.

I have had Dr Wu as a doctor for the last 2 1/2 years..He has been extremely kind to me!!! He has a great staff of gals that work for him, They go out of their way to try to accommodate me...Thanks Ivon, Clara, Elaine, and Maria...I have Complex health problems, And have been disabled for many years. I highly recommend Dr Wu..Again thank you for your kindness.

The good Doctor and his staff have been a Godsend for myself. For years I've had just about every difficulty you could imagine dealing with a mainstream commercial healthcare provider (Kaiser, Aetna, Stanford).The Doctor is spot-on, actually listens to you, and does not beat around the bush or hide his concerns like others. It does not matter what your issues, background, or medical history consists of, he takes a human approach and gets the job done.I could not recommend anyone else for a PcP or Cardiologist, especially in the town of Gilroy.Did I say his staff is the best?

I accompanied my mom to her appointment and had already heard horror stories about this Dr. His bedside manner is terrible as he would keep cutting me off whenever I asked a question. He is unethical and borderline negligent. He said there was a misunderstanding with my moms insulin prescription and it required us to make a visit to make sure my mother received her prescription. He seems to want to order unnecessary testing and make unnecessary follow up appointments simply to bill the patient and insurance. We will be looking for another primary doctor because I fear Dr.Wu will make another medical error with my moms insulin. What if my mother had not mentioned this to me and not brought it up to Dr.Wu? My mothers blood sugar level would have dropped during the night and this would be detrimental to her health. I normally don't write reviews but like I said, this error or "miscommunication " as he called it was negligent to say the least. Very rude and rushed and would definitely not recommend this Dr. to anyone.

Dr Samuel Wu my favorite Dr I like him because he takes the time to listen to his patients and that's very important to me it is very convenient for me because it is very closed to my house and they take my insurance i also bring all my family there , my sister was visiting me and she got sick last week , I called Dr wu to get an appt for her and he saw her and prescribed the right med she was very pleased with him , I highly recommend Dr Wu he is a great listener and a wonderful Dr

Dr. Wu is so nice and kind and is really concerned with you as a person and as his patient. I am so glad I have him as my physician. I live close to Milpitas and he is worth the drive.

Dr Wu has been my personal care physician for about 20 years now and I have found him to be very competent, willing to write a referral for a specialist should you need one, and always there when you need him, his staff is very nice and excellent to work with. Dr. Wu really cares about you and your health, go see him should you need a doctor.

As a first visit, the doctor should have spent 30-45 minutes with a new patient. The most time I got was 15 minutes, (he didn't even introduce himself when he first entered). Bed side manner was poor. Dr. kept talking over me and would not let me explain fully. Running in and out of the examining room I had to ask: "Are you going to spend some time with me so we can discuss my health concerns?" The doctor seemed more interested in being a business man first and then a Doctor.....I will not return.
