I was there for an annual eye exam. Check-in was smooth although there was more paperwork to complete than on previous visits. The series of eye tests performed on different machines was complicated by the mask requirement causing lenses to fog up. The exam by Dr. Hawks went very well. I had opted for the eye photography so she was able to show me the condition of my inner eye. It was great not having my eyes dilated. She took time to explain the pictures, the condition of my eyes and what they might look like if there were certain problems. That was very much appreciated.

I have been visiting optometrists since I was 13 yrs old, lived many places and therefore seen several different eye doctors. Dr. Hawks is the ONLY one who has ever taken the time to truly help. I told her that following a visit with another doctor at the same practice, I was prescribed contact lenses that I still couldn't see very well with. This is not the first time this has happened, and I didn't know how much to attribute to aging or if this was just incorrect lens strength. She examined me and identified issues that no other doctor had. She gave me a variety of trial lenses in different brands and also humored me when I was questioning that reducing the strength of the lens would improve my sight. She gave me both strengths and allowed me to revisit to ensure I was ordering the lenses that would offer the best results. She helped me find the most affordable options with a rebate code. I am so grateful to have found a doctor who truly cares about her patients more than the bottom line.
