A GOOD HOSPITAL
They could care less about patients. All they care about is the almighty dollar. Thought Duke was a great hospital system boy was I fooled. Wish I could give them a zero star.
Super Friendly Staff Very Kind Hearted Folks At This Hospital I Would Recommend This Hospital Before The Surrounding Ones.
So Im not a fan of the hospital but when I went tonight on 10•27 to have a CT scan done I must say the CT scan guy Aaron I do believe is his name he was absolutely fantastic one of the better ones Ive met thru haywood he went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and gave me great advice wish their was more ppl like him around Thanks man yur pretty damn straight I highly recommend the CT guy to anyone
If you value your life keep on driving past Haywood Regional Medical Center and head on into AshevilleI went into the ER with stoke like symptoms and was told to wait. It took 45 min. It was not busy in the waiting room. Thank goodness it wasn’t a strokeWhen I finally did make it back the nurse told me it wasn’t a stroke and had no idea why my right side was going numb. I had to insist on a cat scan. On the way back to get my scan I heard from the orderly about what a scam Covid is and how he makes his own hydrochloroquine. He feels that vaccines are BS and masks aren’t helpful. That made me feel super confident🙄After my scan the same nurse came into my room and with very little compassion announced “Well I didn’t expect that You have bleeding in your brain. We’re going to be transferring you to Asheville where they have the brain surgeons.”I was stunned All I could do was cry. It was terrifying. The delivery of a grim prognosis with such nonchalance… and I wasn’t even allowed to have my husband there with me Covid precautions. Talk about inconsistency And Hello I’m a human. Paying way too much to have be subjected to this unprofessional behavior. So I was ambulanced to Mission hospital Asheville where they actually have neurologists and neurosurgeons on staff. I was told I wasn’t going to die given an anti seizure med and sent home with further instructions. I do need follow up and monitoring but felt hopeful when I left.Next time I’m just going to Asheville I can’t believe Duke even affiliates themselves Haywood regional.
I had an ultrasound and lymph node biopsies weeks apart at Haywood Regional. I had the good fortune to have Elizabeth Brooks as the technician both times. Biopsies were scary but Elizabeth held my hand so closely between her body and mine that my fears melted away. Elizabeth also walked me through the entire procedure before hand. She’s knowledgeable kind and compassionate. Elizabeth is exceptional
The staff consistantly ignored my loved one physically pulled her head back with no notice and shoved the covid swab into her sinus canal without warning. Those two things are enough to sue this faciility. She was never admitted and they FORCED THE DEEP SWAB TEST ON HER They arent letting parents go in with their children.. The ER IS EMPTY AND THEY ARE ASSULTING PEOPLE AGAINST THEIR WILL Do not go here you will regret it. A mother in the car next to me frantically ran in for her child and i over heard her saying DONT LET THEM GIVE YOU THAT DONT TAKE IT. Verbatim Please make time to seek other facilities…
Came in the ER this morning as I have had a pressure in my head for 2.5 weeks now. I was very clear in telling them that I’ve tried different things to help it and nothing has worked. Even going to my primary care doctor and getting shots and it still not working. They started with a urine sample and took me back to do a CT scan. The gentleman who did my scan was extremely nice however the rest of my care was beyond abysmal. I asked the doctor when he came back if anything else came up on the urine analysis and when they would do blood work as the nurse told me they would do these things if the ct scan didn’t show anything. He was very rude and made sure to tell me he only ordered a pregnancy test and didn’t see the need for anymore tests because I haven’t told him any other symptoms and that he didn’t know why that nurse would tell me they would do that. He made it very clear he didn’t believe me or want to help me. Told me to go home and do the same stuff I’ve been doing that I already told him wasnt helping. Which was the whole reason I came to the ER to begin with. I left with very little answers and feeling no better than I have for the past two weeks. The acetaminophencaffeine pill they gave me didn’t do a thing either. Surprise though it’s not been working at home either. Such a joke.
I went there because I have lympadema in my right leg. I spent 6 hours in the er listening to them discuss how I might have Covid The never treated my leg or even took a second glance. This is un acceptable and if the place burnt to the ground to day I would only laugh and say better off that way
NO VISITOR POLICY due to C19 Front desk lied to me about the reason and then lied again when they said I could review the policy on the website. There is NO INFO THERE. No one is staffed at the main desk only the Emergency Room and no signs Security immediately walked out to intimidate after my first question. I was completely calm and cordial the entire time. What a dark place

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
