Dr. Gupta was rude, condescending, unprofessional. After asking why we hadn't been told anything/had mislead for a week, he screamed at us, saying we "had no idea what he's had going on this weekend" that he "worked over 100 hours this weekend." He continuously interrupted us and escalated a conversation into an argument, all while my ill father's heart rate rapidly increased to the point of a nurse raising concern. Then, when my father said "I'm trying really hard here not to get angry," Dr. Gupta scream at him and said "go ahead ang get angry." Again, keep in mind my father is in the hospital with severe heart failure. Finally, he said "I'm trying my best and you better not piss me off before I try to fix your hear because then I won't do a good job." Whether it was meant as a threat or not, it came off and threatening Something was wrong with this doctor; he was angry, aggressive, and upsetting and elevated an already worrisome situation.

Dr. Gupta was very caring and through when treating my 81 year old mother for blood clots in leg. He explained everything he was doing-every step of the way. He ensured that she was stable throughout 2 days of procedures and ensured she was in stable condition prior to releasing. He treated her as an individual, not just a patient on his rotation. He got to know her personality, which helped him in caring for her. As a family member I was so grateful for his easy, down to earth manner.
