Betsy Johnson Hospital's Online Review Report Card

Went in this afternoon because the right side of my face went completely numb and I was having numbness, loss of sensation on the right side accompanied with sharp pains also on the right side of my head. On the way there I popped two 325mg Aspirin. Please note 20 minutes after the numbness subsided substantially but there was still a loss of sensation. I was concerned this could either be ischemic strokes maybe related to covid (I'm also sick at the moment) or a blood clot. Maybe an aneurysm. Something neurological. I'm not sure if this doctor was thinking I'm exaggerating, or lying, or thinks I'm too stupid to know something is seriously wrong with my body but after waiting for four hours, she noticed my eyes was red and diagnosed me with pink eye. Literally talked to me less than a minute. She tried to tell me my face was going numb due to conjunctivitis. It was obvious they just wanted to rush me out. Not a single test was run, no urine, no blood, literally nothing. Seriously just said oh you have pink eye, we're gonna call on antibiotic drops and discharge you. I might have pink eye but if you're saying the infection from the conjunctivitis is what's causing the numbness then doesn't that warrant some kind of testing to see how bad the infection is? Anyways, I'll never be back here and I will advise any and everyone to avoid BJ at all costs. The only positive was the triage nurse who had just transferred from Central Harnett. She listened to me and I really appreciate that. Five stars for her.

The receptionist was nice at the ER. The triage nurse was nice enough, the doctor was nice enough and being from the south that means not openly prejudiced. However, I'm Not Happy with my over experience this time. When I was taken to the ER bed they didn't offer me any sheets, blanket, nor pillows. (I got injured at work). They didn't even ask about my pain levels. They did not clean nor dress my wounds. It was really a waist except that they did give me a tetanus shot. I feel as though if I were in a different body, they would have been more attentive and happy to make sure I was okay, and make sure I had no fractures and offered me pain management . I feel like I got the ni*** gal treatment as in, less than the bare minimum care. I went there because it was near my home and I'd already worked 14 hours. I was driving myself and didn't want to chance falling asleep at the wheel. Needless to say I regret even going there. Id rather drive myself to Raleigh before going back there.

Tonight my friend was in the Emergency Department, she was sent there by her doctor. My friend was sent there due to high blood sugar, she was vomiting a lot. Two beds over from her was another patient who took it upon herself along with the nurse (she was wearing a top that was red dading to black) that was with her to make fun of my friend while she was vomiting. This is very unprofessional. If the shoe had been on the other foot said patient wouldn't have thought it was so funny.

Came in at 220 with husband got right into triage and got blood work done.its about 5 hours later still not been seen.everybody that came in after us except 2 are still waiting to. That's just ridiculous to wait that long.that doesn't happen at other hospital ERs..what's the triage nurse doing there hasn't been anybody in there with her in 45 min.this place needs to manage time better than they do.what do that do with their time

They’re very slow!!! We waited here for 4 hrs before being seen in the ER department and wasn’t nobody in here .

The hospital itself and the 4th floor are absolutely HORRIBLE!!! The nurses and doctors. However the only good nurse in that hospital is the dialysis nurse Carrie Ann. That woman shows empathy and compassion. She was truly placed on this earth to be a dialysis nurse. She makes the patients comfortable and she cares! There are too many at this hospital that do not care, have no bedside manners, and it’s understandable why they call it the band aid hospital. But they need to Thank God Carrie Ann came to their facility. My family thinks the world of her and our loved one found the only peace she could when she was in the presence of Carrie Ann

I went to the ER here and I was there from 4 to midnight and they couldn't find out anything that was wrong with me. And I was still billed almost 5000 dollars. I also didn't even get back all my test results. You're better off going literally anywhere else.

Thank you for taking care of me this past weekend. From ER to the staff on the 3rd floor. Everyone was so.. very professional . Thank you again, Kathy McDowell

The hospital itself is a complete joke and definitely nasty Their emergency room stays dirty Their security guards are fat and out of shape

First, I didn't want to go because of the bad reviews, but it was an emergency, and everyone was so kind and good, the police at the door, the lady who takes information, the nurse, the doctor, what good treatment and good attention, it was more than I could have thought. , this place should be 5 stars great service in the emergency
