Durham Diagnostic Imaging- Independence Park's Online Review Report Card

What a wonderful group to interact with from the first phone call to follow up after the imaging was complete. The staff were very pleasant, organized, efficient and made sure my questions were answered. They even called back to confirm information they needed to check with the requesting physician.

UPDATE: Billing management at DDI Independence Park dealt with my issue in a professional and personal way. It was ultimately an issue with my insurance processing but DDI went the extra mile and then some to make sure I was taken care of. I am impressed. My only feedback after this issue was not being notified by DDI billing that a 1yr old bill was coming my way. They did let me know they would work to flag up patients if this happens in the future. The actual test & patient experience for my MRI was very good. However, I've had major issues with their billing. They submitted the claim to my insurance under a different company name altogether, and that company name was out of network. Then, over 12 moths later, processed this same claim a second time to my old insurance under yet another company name. Which wound up being a surprise bill to me of nearly $1k! Due to DDI not submitting or handling their billing properly with my insurance. I would like to continue going there, as it was wonderful service by the testing staff, but their billing error has left me in a bind with this surprise bill over a year after my date of service. I'm doing homework to see if this is breaking NC state law, under the "Prompt Pay Requirement" act.

I was at your office this morning and had a fabulous experience with Jennifer, who efficiently, graciously, and professionally conducted my imaging. I was particularly impressed with her accommodation of my severe hearing loss as she guided me through the process. She was wonderful. Thanks!

Every step of the way, there was some kind of miscommunication or issue with this organization. I could go into detail about the various issues that caused addition stress and made me feel like I was not being heard as a patient, but that rant would go on too long. One of the most impactful results of getting care here was after they confirmed my insurance, I began receiving notices and calls from multiple debt collectors. Keep in mind, I was never contacted by the staff here directly. They first mis-billed the insurance, resulting in a denial. Then, it turns out they were out of network (after they assured me when scheduling they would be covered.) First lesson learned, never go here. Second lesson, always take the time to confirm with your insurance provider directly. Especially when the staff, while incredibly friendly, continues to make careless mistakes around your care. Would NOT recommend. I now owe close to 1,000 dollars for an insurance plan that would have covered these bills elsewhere.

I had my 3T MRI yesterday (10.27). The tech, Debra was very professional and supportive as I am terribly claustrophobic. The assistants, Megan and Shawntai were focused on making my session comfortable although I was in extreme pain. As a team, they are the best! Thank you for supporting my imaging experience.

Have been on hold for hours to try to coordinate an appointment, when I choose an option get called back , I am then again put on hold. If you have a choice work with another imaging center.

I would like to say Valrie Moss is the best radiologist for mammograms. She is very good at making the process smooth, effortless and she is very gentle with you. Valrie knows how to take your mind off that "intimidating machine" in front of you with calming conversation. Thank you so much Valrie!

Recently visited this facility it was a pleasurable uneventful visit, staff were extremely helpful and professional, facility was clean, visit was efficient. In and out in 20 minutes

First time using the new 3D machine, and it was so easy. Wish this machine had been around the whole time. It's not painful, you don't have to hold your breath, and it's super quick. As far as the check in and check out process, Durham Diagnostic has always been fast, but today was even faster. I checked in, had the mammogram, and was out in 15 minutes. Super easy. Thank you Durham Diagnostic team!
