List of The Obstacle Doc Performance Training And Physical Therapy's Reviews
I had a great experience with Daniela at Obstacle Doc. She's such a pleasure to work with, and she helped me resolve an issue that I had almost given up hope on! Highly recommend.
I have known Chris for 7 years now and Daniela more recently. I am continuously impressed by their depth of knowledge in their physical therapy practice as well as their dedication to their patients rehabilitation. As a fellow physical therapist, I frequently refer my patients to The Obstacle Doc and am confident that they will receive the best quality care imaginable. They take a very individualized approach and provide 1-on-1 attention to help patients eliminate pain and reach their physical goals. I highly recommend The Obstacle Doc to anyone seeking expert, personalized care for their rehabilitation and recovery.
I was a little reluctant to invest the money not knowing if my issue would be resolved, but just after a few weeks, I am seeing obvious results! The knowledge and approach of this team is clearly effective. I highly recommend them.
I’ve had the pleasure of working with the rockstar physical therapists at the Obstacle Doc for about 2 months now. I cannot express enough how impressed I am with their expertise, professionalism, and dedication to helping their patients. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and well taken care of. They are friendly and knowledgeable, and they go above and beyond to create a comfortable and positive environment. Dr. Chris and Dr. Daniela are truly exceptional. They possess a wealth of knowledge and skills, and they tailor their treatments to meet each individual's specific needs. They take the time to listen to their patients and address any concerns or questions thoroughly. Throughout my therapy sessions, I witnessed their passion for what they do. They genuinely care about my progress and well-being. They provide clear explanations, demonstrate exercises effectively, and offer valuable guidance to ensure optimal results. I am incredibly grateful for the progress I have made under their care. I cannot say enough positive things about this powerhouse duo!
Daniela was great to work with! She has great patience and optimism. I am grateful for the wonderful results of my physical therapy and would definitely consult with her again if a new problem comes up.
As an allied health professional myself, I have worked with a lot of clients through injury, pre and post surgery, and chronic pain. In fact, I have referred clients to Chris for years, always with great outcomes. However, now I can personally attest to his expertise, creativity and effectiveness as a physical therapist (and really a healer). As my orthopedist said - about 90% of tendon injuries would heal on their own with time BUT, 1 - how much time do you have and 2- what quality of healing are you looking for? This is where Chris and his multi-modality approach comes in. I had been suffering with bilateral epicondylitis for a month and half before seeing Chris with almost no change in my pain or ability to function. Now after about a month of weekly appointments, therapeutic exercises, soft tissue work, dry needling, and some nitro glycerin patch (prescribed by my physician) my elbow pain is almost gone and I am in the process of regaining my strength. Chris and Daniela are both wonderful people and awesome to work with. They schedule a full hour with you, even for their follow up appointments; and they are hands-on therapist who are completely invested in helping you return to all the activities that bring you joy. I highly recommend Obstacle Doc, YOU are worth the investment!
As someone who has been a ‘frequent flyer’ at PT offices for a wide range and severity of injuries in the past, I can’t overstate the benefit I have found in using the Obstacle Docs! Chris is amazing at addressing issues and keeping me able to perform the activities I want and working to help achieve fitness goals. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to get back into or stay in activities
Dr. Danielle has been an absolute lifesaver in my journey to recovery from a gluteus medius injury on my right hip, as well as strengthening my feet following a foot injury. Her expertise and the remarkable technique of dry needling have made a world of difference in my healing process. From the very first session, Dr. Danielle's professionalism and dedication were evident. She took the time to thoroughly assess my condition and develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to my specific needs. Her ability to explain the importance of each exercise and technique in a clear and understandable manner greatly contributed to my progress. One of the standout aspects of Dr. Danielle's care is her skill in dry needling. Dry needling significantly relieved the tension and discomfort in my right hip, allowing me to regain mobility and comfort that I thought might be lost forever. Furthermore, Dr. Danielle's dedication to my overall well-being is commendable. She didn't just address the immediate issues but also worked on strengthening my feet, which was crucial for my long-term recovery and preventing future injuries. Along with being a wonderful physio therapist, she is a great friend as well. Thanks to Dr. Danielle's expertise and compassionate care, I am well on my way to being back on my toes, quite literally. I highly recommend her to anyone in need of physiotherapy, especially if dry needling is a potential treatment option. Her skill, knowledge, and commitment to her patients make her an exceptional healthcare provider who truly makes a positive difference in the healing process.
I was recommended The Obstacle Doc through a friend when I was struggling with some intense pain in my foot when trying to run in early 2023. Dr. Chris was awesome at helping me pinpoint why I may be having these issues when running and equipping me with the right exercises to be able to run pain-free. After only a few weeks of visits, I was seeing improvement in my abilities to run farther with significantly less pain in my foot. By June, I ran a 5-miler with no pain and now, I still see Dr. Chris for follow-ups every few months while training for a half marathon PAIN FREE! I've learned so much about running beyond my injury from Dr. Chris and feel well-equipped to crush my first half. Highly recommend working with Dr. Chris and/or Dr. Daniela if you are looking for a team who listens and really caters to your needs ☺️
I recently worked with Chris Kosobucki from the Obstacle Doc in an effort to avoid surgery in connection with a lingering posterior tibial tendonitis / tenosynovitis problem in my left ankle. Although I was living in St Louis, I had been referred to a well-known foot-ankle specialist at Duke (Dr. Sam Adams) who told me that, in his opinion, I would likely need surgery. That was not what I wanted to hear! Dr. Adams told me that if I had any chance at all of avoiding surgery, I would need to pursue a very directed - and challenging - course of physical therapy with Chris in Durham, NC. Although he couldn't speak to the abilities of other PT's, having worked closely with Chris, Dr. Adams was confident that Chris would be my best shot. I decided to make the commitment to travel to Durham from St Louis each week for two sessions of physical therapy on my foot and ankle. Chris proved to be all that Dr. Adams had described: he listened carefully to my account of the history of my problem; he asked lots of questions; he reviewed the doctor's notes; and he designed a course of action to strengthen my foot and ankle. We used clinic time for him to put me through some paces, and then I was given "homework" to do throughout the week. Chris was always personable and encouraging. It was a pleasure to work with him. After working with Chris for six weeks, there was enough improvement that I was told that surgery was no longer imminent. I have continued physical therapy here in St Louis and am about 75% of the way back to my normal active lifestyle. I owe my progress to Chris whose expertise got me out of the "surgery zone." I would highly recommend Chris Kosobucki for PT of the foot and ankle, even in very challenging circumstances. Speaking from personal experience, he definitely delivers the good!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process.
