My experience with Dr. Jacob was excellent in every manner. We are new to this area so my primary Cardiologist is in another state. I was admitted to UF Health The Villages Hospital with chest pain. Dr. Jacob was my cardiologist who performed a cardiac procedure. His bedside manner, communication and concern for my wellbeing was over the top... heads and shoulders above my home cardiologist who has the most impressive degrees and is with a prestigious cardiology group.
Very personable and received great care. My cardiac catheter went well even though I had to have a stent. Terrific follow up care with Samantha Casper. Also quite pleased with the care I received from CCOU at Vidant Greenville.
Dr. Jacob was very personable. We were all very pleased with my labs results since becoming his patient. All of my labs have dropped significantly. A1C, cholesterol and kidney functions. Dr. Jacob provides a hometown family environment. I highly recommend him.
I've read some poor reports on Doctor Jacob. I'm surprised by this because we think he's wonderful. He is soft spoken and kind. From the time we met him we have put ourselves out to form a relationship with him. He is trustworthy and knowledgeable. He answers our many questions and now we can sit and laugh together. I suppose you get out of it as much as you put into it. He saved my mother's life. We are greatful for his skill.
Worst experience with a doctor. Did not spend any time discussing my condition. Seemed indifferent and rude. Would never recommend him to anyone
My Wife had a heart catherization performed yesterday by Dr. Jacob. Thankfully, the results were good news. For those familiar with the procedure, the insertion point is usually in the groin, or, more modern and better for the client....in the wrist. Dr. Jacob used the wrist, which causes much less trouble for the client in recovery. Dr. Jacob met with both of us after the procedure. He answered all our questions, and was very thorough. I thank God that we had him as our Physician.
While he seemed to be willing to run further tests he didn’t have much personality and no sense of humor. He sat facing his computer instead of talking directly to me. Seemed a bit disinterested. His nurse was absolutely rude and unfriendly but the ladies at the front desk were nice. I had to wait an hour and 20 minutes to be called back but was seen quickly after that.
The worst cardiologist I've ever seen. I had a spinal cord injury a whole back. And I was paralyzed. I can walk now, but obviously my legs don't work as well as normal people. He put me on a treadmill and turns it up pretty fast. I almost fell. The nurse even told him that it wasn't a good idea to put me on there. And I didn't like they way he touched me, nor how close he got to me when nobody was in the room. He didn't seem to be very bright either.
Dr. Jacob would not listen to my concerns. Did not even listen to my heart or check the swelling in my legs. NOT a very good experience. I do not recommend!
Doctor performed catheterization at Albemarle Hospital in Elizabeth City, NC and did not find blood flow in previous bypass. Transferred me by ambulance to Norfolk Heart Hospital where the procedure there showed excellent blood flow, where he said there was none. Ambulance and second hospital very costly. Doctors at Norfolk did not seem surprised at the this missed diagnosis. Dr. Jacob never apologized and billed me for his failure anyway.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
