Prescriptions that are absolute crucial to mental health are never sent in properly and in a timely manner. When you call about the issues, the front desk staff is incredibly standoffish, unhelpful, and rude. If you care about your mental health, as others have stated, go somewhere else.
Please do not go here if you are suffering from mental health problems, they don't care about you and it is literally impossible to get a hold of anyone. If anyone from this office is actually reading this- Hi, my husband and i have been calling for weeks trying to get literally anyone to call back, i left your office manager a message and i emailed y'all too off of your website. Thanks for nothing as always!
The lady at the front desk is rude, the counselor is rude, it has just not been a good experience. I keep thinking that they are just having a bad day, but nope, it is every time we have any dealing with them. Tina is nice and goes far above and beyond, everyone else they just need to replace.
They are mean and they talk to you with hate
DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE A MENTAL ILLNESS. Upon intake after moving to Elizabeth city, i was told the medication that had worked for 10 years that i would DIE if i took those meds. After being reassured by my regular doctor that i was fine and to not stop, i continued going to port as it is the only place for mental health in 30 miles. My meds were changed 7 times. My anxiety medication i was on for 10 years stopped working. None of the doctors informed me that medications can stop after 5 years. They just upped my dose. I suggested a different medication which worked and they refused to prescribe it. I keep a list of every doctor ive been to and what was prescribed. I went back over the list and when i thrived, i was on a combo. I asked for those which was fought but given plus a few more that i have said i am allergic to.One "doctor" lost his dea number so i couldn't get the meds and was forced to go to the hospital for the 7th time. They force you to go to the er despite being on disability and unable to afford using the er as a doctor. THAT IS THEIR JOB. Run far away. If you don't have a car, you're screwed because there is nothing in this town to help people with mental illness. Please contact me for a civil suit against port as they stopped my meds many times leaving me with seizures that have permanent damage.
Please please please go somewhere else where people actually care about you. Tina is nicest person there but it seems like she works harder than the others. Just stay away from all port health facilities.
Doesn't listen or understand what I am going through. I'm in a prison in my mind and they just don't get it. What's all that college for if they can't help. Plus gonna get a generic reply generator on this comment. Wait for it. If I was weak and suicidal, I'd be dead already. But I just live trapped instead. Tf am I supposed to do?
If I could give 0 stars, I would. I take my mother to all of her doctor appointments and this is the absolute worst place to ever go to. The lady at the front desk(her name is Kenyana) is by far the rudest person I’ve ever encountered. You’d think since people are coming in with mental health issues, you’d be a little bit more polite. But no, she has a nasty attitude. I bring my mother there because she cannot get around and I am currently trying to talk her into going to a different place.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
