Dr. Onwukwe was the intensive care hospitalist when my mom was intubated from post-obstructive pneumonia due to small cell lung cancer. His committment to giving her the opportunity to be extubated and me another chance to talk to my mom was rooted in his faith and commitment to his art. I will be forever grateful to him and the staff at Wilkes Regional Medical Center for the time they gave us with my mom.
