I was a patient of Dr. Byrd's while I was pregnant in 2015. 24 weeks in, I began having strange abdominal pain on a Sunday night. I consulted with the web and with mom friends, who ultimately convinced me that my pain was not normal and to call my on-call. Dr. Byrd. Big mistake. She was annoyed by my call, even going as far to say "you mean to tell me that you called because of something you read?!" Offered no medical advice at all. Then failed to put my phone call in my chart. I switched ASAP

Dr. Byrd is an amazing female doctor. I have and will continue to recommend her. I was her patient for many years before she moved to North Carolina. She is missed.

Dr. Byrd delivered my three kids by c section. She is an amazing doctor with a respectful and calm manner with patients. I wish she was still practicing in CT.

So glad I met Dr. Byrd! I finally saw a obgyn that understood what I was going through with my fibroids! I was told they would shrink with age. All my fibroids did was cause profusive bleeding 3 weeks out of the month! They grew in clusters pushing on my bladder and leg nerve. Dr Byrd assessed the situation quickly. Resulting in immediate surgery! These last 7 plus years have been the greatest!

I've been going to Dr Byrd since 2008,she is a kind,awesome,Dr and a human being who really cares about you! I am going to really miss her when she moves down South! Our Loss is North Carolina's Gain! Also Thanks. To All the Ladies up front at the Desk who were awesome and kind, answering questions,they knew your name, made you feel welcome. GOOD LUCK LADIES! Went in to pre term labor. And she had the nerve to ask me if I was doing drugs.... Umm no beeoootchhhh I've been telling you for three months I have green discharge and you keep telling me that im fine.

I had switched to Dr. Byrd in 2005 when I moved to the Middletown area and discovered I was pregnant. Unfortunately I miscarried at 12 weeks. I called Dr. Byrd when I saw the bleeding and she said something to the effect of 'well if you are miscarrying, there's nothing that can be done'. I said I really wanted to confirm so, sounding very exasperated, she said she'd meet me in her office even though she had plans for the evening (this was on a Friday or Saturday). She did confirm the sad news with a coldness and lack of empathy that, to this day, angers me. I left vowing that I would do my own home birth before I ever let her near me or a future child of mine.
