Robert Johnston's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Johnston was always kind and courteous during my visits. he took time to make sure he fully understood my needs and that all of my needs were met before i left the office.

He knew from the start that I wear gas permeable contact lenses. He even said that it is good my regular doctor was out because he knows about and has more experience with RGP lenses than the other doctors in the practice. I had already gotten two sets of lenses that were so far off I couldn't even drive with them in. He said my eyes had changed shape and I would need to go without wearing contacts for at least 2 weeks so he could reexamine and refit me. Because he was on vacation and I was on vacation, it was a month before the reexam. The whole time he kept pressing me for lasik surgery which I didn't want because he would have to refer me to a dr an hour and a half away and my eyes are so bad that I found out I would not be a good candidate for this surgery. He still wanted me to think about it. Three days later I called and told the office I want to go forward with the contacts. He wasn't going to be in for a few days. I called back when he was in and told them again. They said ok. I was in the office two days later to get my new glasses adjusted and asked while there if he had ordered my contacts. They went to ask and came back with a piece of paper with another doctor's name and number. I was told that he would not be able to order them and is referring me to a doctor who specializes in RGPs. Why did he not know this several visits before then? If I had not been there that day for my glasses, when would he have told me this? So then I had to drive an hour away a week or so later to the other doctor to start all over. This doctor (and my insurance co.) said since my previous annual visit with Dr. Johnston was covered by my insurance and there is nothing wrong with my eyes to cause Dr. Johnston to have referred me to her as a specialist, I would have to pay out of pocket for her visit instead of my insurance covering it. So when all was said and done, I wasted over two months and at least 6 trips to Dr. Johnston's office, and more money out of pocket that I would not have if Dr. Johnston had just told me from the beginning that he couldn't fit me for RGPs.

Bar non the best Dr I have ever met, knowledgeable beyond belief, understands how all body systems are interconnected ! Every issue has been resolved with complete compassion and professionalism! Dr Johnston is also just a great human being!

Dr Bob is wonderful, He was the only doctor that cared about my migraines and never failed to ease the pain. He would always fit me in when I was in pain, even on a holiday. if I needed him, he was there

Dr. Robert Johnston is by far the best chiropractor I've been to, and I've seen quite a few over the years. He is very knowledgeable about your complete body health as well. He is a wonderful, caring person and gives you all his attention and as much time as you need. He has pulled me through some very tough physical health problems and helped me in so many ways it would be hard to enumerate. He has a great wholistic approach to healing. I count him as not only my doctor, but my friend for life.

Be very cautious if this doctor wants to do surgery on you. I had surgery for cataracts and my vision is now very distorted. We are waiting for an appointment with another surgeon who hopefully will be able to correct the damage that was done. If I could give him less than one star I would.

Dr Bob is my saviour.I can walk into his treatment room after being in pain for days but walk out completely pain free, He is very knowledgable about several different techniques and combines them to get the best possible result.It is a pleasure to see someone as enthusiastic and caring as him. I Would recommend him to everyone.

very arrogant and talks a lot about himself

Dr. Johnston failed to recognize a herpes virus that infected my eye. He sent me for several unnecessary tests at the hospital and screwed around with my eye for a MONTH before admitting he had no idea what was wrong, and referred me to a specialist. The specialist diagnosed and properly treated me immediately, but the damage had already been done and today, thanks to Dr Johnston, I am blind in one eye!
