Wait time to see her is horrible. Waited over 2 hours and had an appointment. She's very slow and unorganized. Once she gets in the room she's moody and rude. Doesn't listen to what you have to say and pushes things off as no big deal when they really are.
I had Dr. McDonell as my doctor for 13 years. She found issues other doctors including my school nurses and PA's during School Physicals didn't spot. I was especially pleased with the way she handled my son's case in the hospital when he was born. I had no idea she worked at the hospital and the nursery and I cried when I saw her because I was so relieved. My son had blood sugar problems when he was born. The doctors at Niagara Falls, Memorial kept taking him away from me to pump him with glucose and I was trying to breast feed him. I was so distraught and upset because they kept him fro me all day when he was 2 days old. Finally Dr. McDonnell came in to see him and she told the nurses to bring him back in and let me work with a lactation consultant. She said my breast milk would help him glucose stabilize. I was so thankful to finally have someone tell these ignorant people to listen to what I had been saying all along. I know Dr McDonell can come off as kind of matter or fact, but she really cares about her patients. The only reason my son doesn't see her is because she isn't in the location I like to go to. She's at Summit Pediatrics on Pine Ave and I hate that location. But Dr. McDonell has saved my life when I was 12 diagnosing me with Pneumonia when another doctor said I just had a cold. She also backed me up at the hospital when my son was born 13 years later so, she will always be a great doctor in my book.
I would not recommend this dr. I had terrible experiences as a child seeing her. My mother was treated like crap, the dr never heard her out about anything. I'm not sure if things have changed nowadays but I'm sure she's still the same.
I Like All Thee Other Doctors, But Not McDonald. She Sometimes Seems like She Doesn't Know What She's Doing Or What She's Talking About. I Am Thinking About Changing My Childs Doctor.
Nice enough lady doctor for 18 years, but when I came in with dizziness last year she brushed it off. She should have sent me for an mri of head and neck or at least recommended someone else to do that, but instead left me on my own after she decided it wasn't my heart. After picking out several doctors via the phone book, it finally turned out I had 5 herniated discs in my neck and 2 were pressing on my spinal cord causing my dizziness, loss of balance, neck pain, and occipital neuralgia. I feel she dropped the ball and left me on my own to figure out my circumstances. I think she should have cared more about me after all that time.
Don't recommend this doctor. Does not treat you like a human being. Will not sit and discuss problems. I have been talked down to and yelled at on several occasions. Not friendly no bedside manners.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
