This in all honesty should be a 0 star review. I was having severely painful pelvic pain that it scared my husband. He called for an ambulance (5 stars to the ems for their assistance) arrived at 4:15ish pm 1/5/24. They were informed that i have pcos, took my vitals (no ultrasound was performed), and sent me to the er waiting room for 12.5 hours. They wouldn't let my husband stay and was only allowed a few mins with me before kicking him out. Finally got a room at 6am 1/6/24 only to be told that I have a minor infection and to follow up with my obgyn. I asked what was causing the pain and his words were, "sounds like an ob issue. Follow up with your ob", gave me meds and sent me home. I finally got an ultrasound today and found out that I have a cyst on my right ovary and that it most likely burst and that was the cause of the pain. This hospital is lucky that it didn't go septic and I'm seeing ob Wednesday to get a better diagnosis and what can be done. Edit: found out that I have a cyst on my right ovary that's the size of my ovary. And that it may be compromised. now I'm looking at possibilities of surgery for the issue that thus Er missed for failing to care about women's health
The EMTs are completely irresponsible driving ambulances, using and abusing their sirens so they could bypass traffic law specifically the two ladies driving ambulance number medic 14 I’m unsure whether or not it happened. It probably hasn’t yet but stuff like that could cause accidents. So does that mean EMTs are the only citizens that don’t have to abide certain laws?
Checking into the emergency room here is similar to checking into county jail. You are met with unlikely conditions inside and outside, will certainly wait for hours before any medical help, and feel uncertain the entire time. Incredibly understaffed both skill wise and manpower wise .
James the First Responder/EMT says "When it gets hot in the summer don't take long walks without drinking water. If possible, call a friend/boyfriend/spouse for a ride to wherever you are going so you do not get dehydrated. Dehydration can cause shock and you can pass out on the road. If you pass out on the road then the EMTs have to be called to pick you up off the road, since you passed out on the road from shock. It's not funny. It's not a joke. Keep yourself hydrated."
I will never respect this hospital ever again, the last week or so my boyfriend was sick and we took him to the hospital Thursday January 25th, 2024 around 7:40am He had forgotten his phone so i proceeded to go get it and bring it back, when i did they didnt let me in past security so i gave it to security to give to him so he would be able to get in contact with me so i could pick him up. The security guard at the front proceeded to confirm with me that he knew exactly who I was talking about because “a man just came up asking if his girlfriend brung his phone” so i then told him his name and left. This was around 8 am , I was never able to get in contact with him the whole time he was there. I called the hospital around 9 am and no one could tell me anything on if he got his phone or if he was okay. I gave it a little and called around 10:20 when I finally was able to get in contact with the right people the very kind and respectful lady told me that he had been dismissed, mind you to walk to our house from cape fear is a hour and 30 minutes. When i found out this information I immediately got ready to go pick him up. As I was driving down Cumberland rd I saw him walking, Mind you they let him know he had the flu and told him he couldn't call anyone outside of a 910 area code. It was also cold that day, we had to turn around to get the phone and the security guard had the phone on his desk so i had to go retrieve it since the security watched him walk right past him and leave. What was he trying to do with the phone? Was he trying to keep it? We may never know, BUT this is not the worst part today 1/30/2024 He has been sick ever since i brung him in. Now all of his pain is in his stomach last night on 1/29/2024 we came at 6:30-7:00 pm and the only thing they did for him the whole time which was almost 11 hours of waiting in the waiting room of the emergency room they only check his blood pressure and his blood, I called around 10 trying to figure out if they could help him because he was telling me it was getting worse. When i proceeded to call they let me know that they told him he could get some medicine but he had to tell them, mind you when i called him and spoke to him right after getting off the phone with the person in the emergency room he stated they never told him that, he didnt know they would give medicine in the emergency room since they never really looked into what he had going on. Around 5:40 am 1/30/2024 I left and took my boyfriend to hoke county, I also called the emergency room trying to get in contact with someone higher up, the person who they sent me to seemed to have a attitude about what i was telling her, she seemed very sarcastic and kept cutting me off when i was trying to explain my frustrations with the hospital. She also just kept asking me well what kind of medicine did i want him to receive, which doesn't seem very professional because Im not a doctor so asking me that question was not respectable, i responded to her that i was unsure what he needed because they never looked into what he had going on This is the same hospital that I had to go get stitches about 2 weeks ago and when they finally got me to my room the lady and her co worker sitting outside my room were talking. I over heard that the one lady proceeded to tell the other women that in one of there work group chats that one of the workers had posted peoples personal information about there health in the group chat, which I though was against the law to give people personal information on patients to anyone that is not working with that patient personally. As a worker in a hospital, your suppose to show hospitality but that was never fufilled to the extent it should at a supposed to be professional hospital.
My husband was having horrible ear pain. The military told him to take drops and they weren’t working. So he went to the er to try to get help. And after 4 hours of waiting they did absolutely nothing…. Legit did nothing. Just referred him. What the hell is wrong with this hospital
Crazy wait times 12h+
Despite waiting for hours in the waiting room to be seen for a kidney stone... my doctors and my nurse Andrea were phenomenal. Bedside manner was class A++. Long wait like really long but the care given was so good.
Stephanie K was my ER nurse and she was the bomb. What a breath of fresh air after dealing with my traumatic experience at first health memorial in Pinehurst. She truly listened and was funny and gave me hope again in the heathcare staff. Much success to you sweetheart.
I went to cape fear valley the hoke campus and they dont have a doctor I need for a procedure at hoke there are 100 people waiting for rooms at cape fear in Fayetteville and i have been waiting 2 days to transfer for a serious infection.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
