Every person I interacted with made me feel well taken care of. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Between the office staff, nurses, the anesthesia team, and my surgeon i felt comfortable, confident, and calm for my surgery. Thanks again all!
Would never choose this place under my own volition. My husband had surgery here and his appointment was at 1, we arrived 15 min before, after being advised to arrive at 1pm. I worked in health care so I knew we needed to be early. I am picking him up now, at 6 pm. His surgery was scheduled FOR 1PM. As if that wasn't enough, they were to call me with 25 minutes to spare, and I got a call saying he would be ready in a couple minutes. After rushing back that way, I have now been sitting for nearly 30 minutes in the patient discharge area with my 10 month old who I am unwilling to unpack for the umpteenth time today since we have been stranded out here for hours, after beiny told hed be out in 15 minutes. To top it all off, these nurses on duty refuse to answer their phone, call me with updates, an one actually came out to harrass me at my car. Zero stars if I could. Not to mention they lied about recovery time until the day of surgery and we still have to pay them thousands of dollars, so why would they bother treating anyone with decency?
This is a wonderful place to have surgery done
"Thank you for your service but only if you pay us enough" Great Staff, but Unpatriotic and does not serve disabled veterans in practice. Here's my experience: I had surgery performed there on December 21, 2022 and received an estimate from them for a total of $24,003 of which it was indicated I would owe $0. My actual bill come to $40,951.25 of which a considerable amount I owed. The best thing is I need follow up surgery and The Surgery Center at Edgewater as well as it's sister surgery center Piedmont, will not do it because my insurance (TRICARE) apparently does not pay enough. I am a retired disabled Veteran and Tricare is the insurance that most, if not all, retiree's use. So I suppose when we Veterans hear "Thank you for your service" from The Surgery Center at Edgewater what they really mean to say is: "Thank you for your service only if you pay us enough"
7/12/23 The Center and Med Staff, Front office are all terrific. Without any paperwork or explanation what my bill MIGHT BE...I was asked to prepay ~~ $380 facility fee.. so it'll be interesting what in's pays (after I'm reading older views about billing issues) surely in 2 or 3 years admin has gotten better? Seems like the accounting department could have said.." hey you have to prepay $5000 Fac. Fee since there is zero upfront acctg. The Medical Proceedure was FLAWLESS! We recommend Edgewater.. Easy in and out.. accessible.
Excellent service, cleanliness. A long day for sure. Our post op nurse was Debra I believe. Wonderful, kind, knowledgeable, patient and thorough.
Great experience with kids having two surgeries here
The operating doctor did not show up on the surgery date without any prior notice. The clinic does not even have a swiping credit card machine, instead they had to type in my card number several times but they said it didn't go through. As I checked my card statement online, it was charged 2 times and had to cancel those charges, even though the clinic said the card never went through.
Billing is horrible. They make you pay $1,000 upfront. It takes 2 months for them to submit the claim. They were paid in a week from the insurance company, but I'm still waiting for my $1,000 backfrom them and it's over 2 months since they received the reimbursement from the insurance company.
Billing is horrible. First they force you pay upfront or split payment over 2 months ( which I opted for). I have been waiting for a claim to be sent in since 8/24/2022. First they said it was because they were waiting on the doctors note about a procedure I declined to have day of surgery. I advised there's no note for something that didn't happen. I was told that the claim would be sent in, over 2 weeks later no claim. You know who has filed a claim a facility I visited on 8/31, there claim has been processed. This unacceptable and I will be filing a formal complaint. No one should have to beg anyone to do their job and if you can't do the job move out of the way of someone who is willing.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
