I have been a long-term patient at Riccobene, but my recent visit for a tooth extraction and bridge fitting was deeply concerning. While the dentist who performed the extraction was professional and efficient, the subsequent care provided by the dental assistant was unacceptable. The assistant struggled significantly with the impressions, requiring three painful attempts that left my mouth raw and sore. Furthermore, she fabricated a temporary bridge that was bulky and ill-fitting, then proceeded to cement it without the Doctors authorization. The doctor eventually had to intervene to remove and fix the work. Which meant more unnecessary work had to be done. This lack of technical proficiency resulted in an unnecessarily long and "borderline traumatizing" appointment. I strongly feel this assistant requires further training before performing these procedures on patients again! However, the front desk staff is super sweet and nice. I enjoyed Stacy and all the knowledge she provided me to have a great experience!

Rating one star because this was a bad experience that is worth mentioning, not because this is a bad dentist. The entire experience felt rushed, inattentive, and uninformative. I had a 1pm appointment on a Saturday because this is all I could schedule. The office closes at 2pm on Saturday’s and it was terribly obvious that all of the staff I encountered just wanted me in and out, including the doctor himself. Doctor came in to “assess” my teeth. He spent all of 20 seconds in the room, poked around my mouth, told me I have decay on a fully erupted wisdom tooth then left. No information was given to me, I wasn’t given a chance to ask questions, no clarification on where the decay is located on the tooth, etc. Overall, this was a really disheartening visit and a great lack of good patient care. Do better.

I had a tooth extracted and the doctor and nurse/assistant were outstanding. The nurse was very calming and informed me of the process along the way. The doctor showed genuine care and provided options. And the extraction, from the numbing to the pulling of the tooth was painless. Thank you both so much for making this experience a pleasant one.

Great Team

I spoke with the patient coordinator (Cary location) multiple times to arrange an appointment for my daughter, who requires sedation. Since we couldn’t secure a March date (full), we agreed on a date in April. She sent several emails with treatment plans, but I missed a QR code in one of the attachments that was apparently required to finalize the booking. Unfortunately, no one followed up to confirm or flag that anything was incomplete. When I called regarding her scheduled date, I was stunned to learn that the appointment had never actually been booked. They are now only able to offer a date that's another month away. I’m extremely disappointed by the lack of communication and follow-through, and overall very frustrated/stressed with this experience.

Javier & Dr. Pate are great! I request them every time! Thank you both for your excellent care!!

Cleaning went about as well as one could ask. They listened to patients there.

I’m giving them no stars as they have overcharged me four times for my last four procedures one of their doctors is out of network and the general manager promised my wife that he wouldn’t charge me out of network but they have each time every time.

Cierra’s the 30/42 office was my dental assistant and was amazing. TBH, I’ve had some DA/DH who have been not good at all as I believe they were in training. Cierra renewed my faith In Riccobene Dentistry!
