Dr. Contento provided amazing bedside manner and knowledge regarding my hurt ankle/foot. I had been limping for some time and instead of the worst case scenario he gave me some exercises to do that almost instantly took my pain away. He came up with that helpful recource himself so I'd say he's an pretty amazing specialist!! Would 100% recommend!

Dr. Contento was excellent at going through all of my options before he and I decided that surgery was the best option for me. He is very knowledgeable in his field of practice and he actually takes his time to explain things to you, and I believe that he does generally care about his patients. He is very friendly and kind. His bedside manner was amazing. I would definitely recommend Dr. Contento to others.

I had two ingrown toenails that were chronic problems for years and I finally made the wise choice to go to Gaston Foot & Ankle Specialists and have them removed! I was so nervous about the procedure because I don't do well with pain or needles but Dr. Contento was a miracle worker! First of all, the needles used for numbing are bearable and something that shocked me is I never once had pain, tenderness, soreness, or anything but relief after the numbing wore off! I was able to squeeze my toes and not feel the stabbing pain from the ingrown toenail, not feel anything but normal for once! And the procedure only takes like 10 minutes for both toes! Thanks so much to the great staff at Gaston Foot & Ankle Specialists and especially to Dr. Contento who was super patient and understanding with me! Best podiatrist ever!

I highly recommend Dr. Contento and Gaston Foot & Ankle. Dr. Contento is pleasant, personable, easy to talk to, and most importantly, he listens. After a household accident I was shocked to see that I pulled half my toenail from the nail bed. I've never needed a podiatrist, but I needed one now - and in a hurry. Gaston Foot & Ankle scheduled my appointment with Dr. Contento first thing the morning after I called. The team at Gaston Foot & Ankle is fabulous. They are friendly, professional, helpful and accommodating. Dr. Contento asked me the specifics of my injury and recommended a course of action. He performed the procedure before I left the office and told me to call if I had questions or needed assistance. He made sure the procedure was pain free-that was greatly appreciated! Dr. Contento and Gaston Foot & Ankle score 10 stars in my book! As long as I live in this area, I'll never visit a different Podiatry clinic or see a Podiatrist other than Dr. Contento.

An update on my Foot and Ankle. I went to Dr. Swan a podiatrist. She ordered a set of 8 x-rays & after viewing them she said I had a dislocated bone in my foot, she asked me to raise on my toes each foot separately, I cannot raise up on toes of my left foot. She said my tendon isn't working at all, The only way to fix these problems is surgery, no brace or orthotic can help this, if it is not fixed, it will only get worse. I have been in pain because he would not check my foot properly.

Very prompt, and professional. He listens well, and does a great job of explaining surgery.details .treatment, time frame,meds, etc.
